The OBX Summer Movie Series was an event set up by kooks of the island, but it was open for all to attend. So Bianca wasn't surprised when she saw Kiara Carrera, Pope Heyward and JJ Maybank stroll in, picnic basket and fold-out chairs in hand, but it didn't stop the scowl from making it's way onto her face.
"Rafe," Bianca whined softly, "Why are we sitting by the bathrooms?" She glared harshly at an older man with a beer-belly pulling a wedgie as he strolled out of the small brick building, "We could've gotten better seats in the front."
Topper and Kelce were standing beside the couple, scanning the lawn near the back of the crowd. A large cinema screen was set up in front of them and Bianca demanded that they go closer, but the boys unanimously voted against it. Spots were filling up quickly as kooks, pogues and tourons alike spread out blankets on the grass.
"Sorry, babe," Rafe kissed the top of her head, but he wasn't looking at her, he was glancing over her shoulder, "Closer to the snacks."
"Fine," Bianca huffed, unwrapping her arms from around her boyfriend's waist, "I'm going to get us drinks."
"Can I get a Coke please, B?" Kelce turned to her quickly with an innocent grin on his face.
"Me too, babe," Rafe continued.
"Pepsi," Topper added, "Thanks, B."
Bianca rolled her eyes, but headed towards the drinks stand. When she made it to the counter only then did she recognise the head of curly hair as Kiara and she narrowed her eyes.
"Hey, could I get two Pepsi's please?" Kiara smiled politely to the man in front of her, reaching into her back pocket to pull out some cash.
"Hey, Kie," Bianca smirked, coming to stand beside her, "How are you?"
Kiara turned to glare at the girl, "I'm fine," She ground out as the man behind the counter began grabbing their drinks.
"Hi, could I also get two Cokes and a Pepsi," Bianca smiled at the worker, "That's good," She said to the girl.
"What do you want, Bianca?" Kiara almost spat and Bianca vividly remembered how temperamental she was. There was no doubt that if they weren't out in public, Bianca would be eating dirt right about now.
And that was exactly what the girl wanted– to get a rise out of her, "Tell your boy we know what he did," Bianca taunted lowly.
"Sorry," Kiara scoffed, "What boy are you talking about?"
