"Yo, I heard the bell!"
Bianca glanced up at the old abandoned church that towered over them, the wood splintered and the door unhinged. The moon reflected off the glass panes, some of them shattered from the hurricane and vague voices emanating from within.
"Yeah, yeah," Kelce nodded quickly, still gripping onto the girl, "That's it."
Suddenly, sirens resonated nearby, just as the cop cars came swerving around the corner and Bianca's eyes widened, her heart pounding.
"Shit, let's go!" Rafe cursed before sprinting around the church and away from the police.
"Kelce-" Bianca pleaded, her arms aching in the boy's grasp as he shoved her along, "Kelce, listen to me, John B's innocent, he didn't kill the Sheriff," Her voice was low and shaky so Rafe didn't hear her.
Kelce scoffed loudly as if he didn't believe her, "Then, who did it, B?"
She quickly pulled out away from him, forcing him to stop while the Cameron boy ran ahead, "Rafe."
Kelce's head shook quickly, "What are you talking about?"
"Rafe killed Peterkin, Kelce, please," Bianca forced out, trying to keep her voice down in case Rafe came back, "Please believe me-"
"This is bullshit-"
"It's not bullshit!" Bianca snapped at him, "Why would I lie!?"
"Cause- cause- you're his ex!" Kelce argued back, towering over Bianca as her back pressed into the wooden wall, "And those Pogues brainwashed you, I don't know, B!"
"The Sheriff was trying to arrest Ward and Rafe shot her," She tried again, her eyes widening as it dawned on her that Kelce would never understand. It was like she was talking to a brick wall that she'd never get through, "Kelce, you know me!"
"No," Kelce shook his head quickly, "You're fucking lying-"
Bianca quickly brought her knee up to Kelce's groin and he hunched over with a pained groan, eyes screwed shut. Bianca quickly shoved him away from her and took off into a sprint, not knowing where she was going, only that she had to get away. Bianca's sneakers pounded into the wilted grass, glancing backwards every few seconds to make sure Kelce wasn't following after her.
She'd barely made it a few feet before Rafe was in front of her, his large frame blocking her from escaping. Bianca's eyes suddenly widened, glancing up at the boy, "Rafe- no-"
He cursed loudly as hands harrowed into her sides again, lifting her by the waist and dragging her away, "Kelce you fucking idiot!"
"Dude- she kneed me in the balls," The other boy muttered as he rejoined them, still slightly bent over.
