"What now?" JJ whispered harshly as the two hid behind a large potted plant in Bianca's father's lobby.

"I don't know- I didn't think this far ahead," She mumbled, feeling her cheeks flush at the feeling of JJ so close behind her.

"What?!" JJ whisper-yelled before the girl quickly turned around and shushed him, pulling him against the wall.

"Shut up- shut up," She told him as a woman in a fitted suit strolled out the exit beside them. The corner of her blazer had a small, white tag on it– Cecelia.

When she left through the automatic glass-sliding doors, both let out a soft sigh. Until they realised how close they were, then Bianca shoved the boy off of her with a scoff. JJ rolled his eyes over her shoulder as they turned back to watching the receptionist type away at his desk.

"I have an idea," Bianca said under her breath.

"I already had it," The boy muttered.

"We need a goat," She told him with finality.

At this, the boy shot her a deadpan look, "What?"

Bianca scoffed, "Don't tell me you've never studied medieval warfare?"

"And you have?" JJ narrowed his eyes.

"Yeah, like five times," Bianca waved him off, "When the Byzantines lured a dragon from its cave, they tied a goat to a stick-"

"If you wanna tie me up and leave me somewhere, princess, you should've just said so," JJ smirked arrogantly.

"It's a metaphor," Bianca elbowed the boy in the ribs who groaned lightly, "We need a distraction."

"Don't worry," JJ whispered lowly, eyes still trained on the man, "I got this," but before he could saunter out, Bianca interjected.

"Yeah- let me just go get you some kneepads," She rolled her eyes.

JJ scoffed, "I'm sure a simple conversation will do, but thanks."

"I'll take care of it," The girl offered.

"Not every guy you flirt with is going to bow down at your feet," JJ scowled.

"Oh yeah?" Bianca smiled with a hint of challenge playing at her lips, "Watch me."

The girl sauntered forward towards the receptionist and plastered on a sickly sweet smile, "Hi," she cooed, twirling a piece of dark hair around her finger, "Dan," she added after she'd read his name tag.

"Uh- hey," The pale, lanky boy with jet-black curly hair replied, pushing his glasses further up his nose, "Can I help you?"

"Yeah," Bianca feigned confusion, "Um, I was told to meet them on level 3B, I think her name is Charlotte or Cynthia-"

"Cecelia?" The boy offered with raised eyebrows, pushing his seat outwards to glance up at her.

"Yes!" Bianca laughed lightly as if she'd known all along, "Cece- I'm running a bit late already so I'd appreciate it if you'd be a little discrete about my arrival."

"Yeah, of course," The receptionist gave her a polite smile, although he looked ultimately bored of the whole conversation– either Bianca was losing her touch or this boy really wasn't interested in her.

"Oh my god- is that Star Wars?" Bianca hummed, leaning forward so she could signal JJ to hurry up beneath the desk. She was referring to the little green elf-looking figurine that was tucked away in the corner of his table and tried to recall what she'd remembered from John B rambling about his obsession with the movies, "I love.." She trailed off, trying to remember it's name, "..that."

Taking it as his cue, Bianca noticed JJ sneaking towards the elevators from the corner of her eye and cringed when his sneakers squeaked against the marble flooring.

"Yeah," The receptionist nodded, "Look- I know what you're trying to do,

"You do?" Bianca frowned nervously.

"Yeah, I do, uh-"

"Ashley," She filled in for him, using a fake name

"Right," Dan continued, "Ashley, but I'm not really.. your key demographic," He trailed off, "I'm.."

"You're what?" Bianca suddenly snapped, the scowl returning on her face, tired of his rambling.

"I'm gay!" Dan blurted out, his cheeks flushing with heat under his pale skin.

"Oh," Was all the girl could manage to say, her cheeks flushing slightly, "Okay- um- I'm just going to go meet Charlotte-"

"Cecelia," The boy corrected curtly, letting out a small huff, glad she knew he wasn't interested whatsoever.

Though Bianca's ego was wounded, "Yeah- Cecelia," the girl mumbled, following in the same direction JJ had snuck off to, the elevators.

By the time she'd reached the silver doors, the blond boy was still holding it open for her and continued to do so until she stepped in. Only when the doors closed after them and infuriatingly awkward elevator music began playing as they rode the elevator to the penthouse, did he ask, "So how'd it go?"

"He's gay," Bianca mumbled hesitantly, a dazed look on her face.

Just then, JJ let out a hysterical laugh, having to clutch his stomach that the girl was having such a hard time after being rejected.

"Whatever," Bianca sneered, "It worked didn't it?" Just as they reached the ninth and uppermost level did Bianca roll her eyes, "Let's go."

The elevator opened to a short passage lobby with the same marble floors connecting to a singular large door way- 'Prescott' the gold embellished lettering announced. Beside the doorknob was a small widget where JJ assumed the keycard would go.

Bianca stepped forward first, pulling out the keycard from her purse while JJ stared in awe at the high ceilings.

"So are we like breaking and entering?" Bianca frowned, her hand pausing with the card between her finds, "Cause that's like a crime- right?"

"Well, we have the keycard so really, it's just entering," JJ shrugged nonchalantly, anticipating the inside– if the outside was so extravagant he couldn't wait to see the penthouse. But one glance at the hesitant expression on the girl's face and JJ was rolling his eyes, "Look- since I know how much you love following the rules, why don't you just stay here and wait till I'm done?"

"What?" Bianca scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest, "Just cause my idea of a good time isn't breaking into my dad's office I'm automatically a stuck up goody two shoes?"

"Doesn't exactly make you the life of the party," JJ stepped forward, his eyes narrowed down at her.

Bianca refused to back down, glaring at the boy before she announced firmly, "Let's go."

JJ smirked as he watched her swipe the keycard with no trace of reluctance and followed her in.
