New Moon

The year 2006

Dorothea and Jasper have been staying with the Volturi for the past few months now, it was hard on Jasper's side but for Dorothea, it was just neutral like every time she had visited them. During the first week there, Jasper had to suffer a lot due to Aro continues telling him to do stuff to see his limit while Caius would times two the burden Aro had put on.

However, Jasper was truly thankful for Dorothea and Marcus's help, as the two would try their best to disturb the two vampires, giving him time to rest his muscles.

Dinner was the hardest for Jasper, the Volturi can be cruel sometimes by killing their meal right on the table. There were moments Jasper almost slipped himself but after much practice, it didn't pester him as much as it did on the first day of dinner.

Marcus and Dorothea had to consume a lot of their time together since the other 2 were busy torturing Jasper around. They would have a little tea party which was Dorothea's demand and from time to time they would take a stroll around the garden as the silence comforted them. Jasper would accompany them too if he wasn't being told around.

Words went around about Dorothea's mate in the Volturi, guards, and people who follow under Aro's feet had a challenging time accepting Jasper due to his different natural diet but as time went by, they come to admire him.

Contemplating how Jasper had unbelievable battle skills and strategy. They saw him as an ideal way to start and win a war for power.

Apprehending this, Dorothea would always keep her eyes on her man even when they were separated in case of anything unfortunate would happen but Marcus eases down the anxiety by saying, "They won't do anything, child. As long as Aro wishes not to. They won't even think about encountering him."

Today, it was Dorothea who is becoming worked up.

Marching around their shared room while biting her lip and nails. Jasper would only watch her, he, himself felt a little troubled but kept it in since one of them need to be steady for the other. "It's been 5 months, Jas. He's coming tomorrow evening. I-I can't intervene with the destiny but this c-could-"

"Calm down first, love." Jasper had walk-up to her, holding firmly her hands to catch her attention on him. "We both have seen this. It's going to be tough at first but the ending is what's more important, right?" Dorothea took in a deep breath while closing her eyes, keeping down her hectic emotion by replying. "You're right. You are always right. It's annoying."

Jasper just chuckle and was about to start a ticking war with the maiden but someone knocked on their door while formally calling out for them. "Excuse me, princess. You and sir are needed in the throne room." / "We'll be right there." Dorothea took the lead on responding to the voice, looking up at Jasper, and giving him a charming smile before dragging him off to the throne they were requested.

Upon arriving at the room, they were approached by something unexpected, someone who wasn't supposed to be in the room till tomorrow.

Aro had welcome the pair joyfully once sensing their attendance, Marcus gave them a questioning look for Edward's sudden visit while Caius had his famous smirk, craving for some drama. "Oh, Dorothea, darling! You didn't inform me your brother is coming to visit today."

"I wasn't told either. I apologise for his action." / "There's no need, child." Jasper had stayed glued by the door they had walked in while Dorothea had stridden up to Aro on the throne to have a better look at her brother's state. Seeing no sense of depression, made her calm down a bit, knowing that Edward had no clue of Bella's doing yet.

"I came to visit my sibling. Not you. I'm simply worried that you might have brainwashed them-"

"Edward! Manners!"

Aro had raised his hand to motion to Dorothea it was fine while chuckling a little but Caius showed the opposing reaction, he was going blown a volcano at Edward if it was not for Aro's alpha voice. "Any member of Carlisle's coven is welcome here. I do yearn to see my old friend. How is he?"

Edward had hesitated to answer back, and Dorothea had remained quiet since Carlisle had informed her through a letter that Edward was tarrying with their cousin away from the family. She had made prompt eye contact with Jasper who had eyes on her already.

Aro sensing the tension in the room spoke up, "Have you not been there with Carlisle?"

"The family is having a vacation at the moment. Edward had chosen to spend his alone with the Denalis while I and Thea had chosen to spend it here." Jasper responds instantly without any delay, it was true what he had said just not in full detail why the Cullens took a vacation for.

Aro immediately gleams hearing that Dorothea had chosen him over the Cullen to spend her holiday with. "Oh, I'm so thrilled. Since you came all the way here to Italy. Why not stay for dinner."

"No!" Jasper and Dorothea had responded for Edward instead, shocking everyone in the room but Aro due to feeling too much happiness to consider.

"I apologise. I believe Eddy shouldn't prevail long, Aro. Forgive our rudeness but Edward doesn't drink mortal's blood. Carlisle would get enraged about this too, without his knowledge." Aro took Dorothea's words seriously before nodding his head in understanding. Caius saw this and directly went red in anger, screaming out words that went deaf in Aro's ears.

"I and Jasper shall send Eddy to the door. Excuse us." Dorothea gave a subtle bow to Aro and Marcus, ignoring the heated Caius, once Aro had to signal them to go. Jasper had harshly dragged Edward out the door, causing the male to stumble on his steps slightly to Jasper's strength, with Dorothea following behind, trying to match the two male's pace.

"Why are you actually here?" Jasper went straight to the point, ever since he got a feel of Edward's emotion, he knew Edward was there not just to see them well. Dorothea had calmed the cowboy down a little by rubbing her hand on his chest before looking back at Edward in confusion.

"It's Bella. I can't help but feel like she's doing something unreasonable every second. I just want a confirmation that I-I can s-see her a-again." With this Jasper and Dorothea frown at his words. "But isn't all this moving out of Forks is for her to forget you and find a mortal lover?"

"Y-Yes but-" Edward felt embarrassed at his action clearly and it was getting on the couple's nerves. "Eddy. You feel like that because she is moving on. Maybe with that Jacob-" Edward had growled at his sister earning him a deathly glare from Jasper "- Either way, she's doing what you wanted from the start."
