(I've had this idea since I first watched the Tales From the SMP episode LMAO)
Sir Billiam had decided to take a walk through town that morning. It wasn't supposed to be anything special, just going out to jeer at the poor. And then he saw her, and his heart stopped. The most beautiful woman he'd ever seen was at one of the stalls in the marketplace, buying groceries. He could practically hear his heart pounding in his chest as he approached her, eager to engage in conversation with the enchantress who'd captured his heart with a mere glance. Imagine his surprise when he finds out that she's a peasant, and not only that, but not as receptive to his advances as he would've thought. It's a good thing stubbornness runs in his family!
(I just really like the idea of Sir Billiam talking all that shit about poor people and then falling in love with one at first sight just to be rejected and then start following her around, trying to convince her to let him court her. Like Gaston if he was actually in love with Belle.)
