"Ace, please. Let's talk."

Sabi ko at hinawakan ang braso niya. He stopped and turned around to face me. Bakas pa rin sa mukha niya ang lungkot, maybe from my father's words earlier.

Niyakap ko siya nang mahigpit. Wala akong pakialam kung nasa corridor pa kami ng hospital. I just want to assure him that although my father doesn't like him, it doesn't change my perception to him.

"I'm sorry,"

He caressed my back. "You don't have to. It's my fault, though. For being a jerk then. Hindi ko masisisi ang Daddy mo kung ayaw niya sa akin, Avianna."

He said that... half-smiling. Ramdam na ramdam ko ang sakit sa kaloob-looban niya pero nilalabanan niya ito.

"Tinanggap naman kita kung ano at sino ka even with your wicked past... you're a manwhore... and uh... what's more important now is that you've changed."

"And I love you," he said, caressing my cheeks. He kissed me softly. "Liligawan ko ang Daddy mo, Avianna. I'll prove to him that I'm serious with you, and I love you that I am willing to be committed with you, only."

"I love you, too." I spoke. "But then again, I apologise for my father's behavior earlier. Pasensya ka na, I am really sorry,"

Niyakap ko ulit siya. Maraming mga mata ang nakatingin sa amin pero isinawalang bahala ko iyon.

"A make up love will do."

I lifted my face and glared at him. He's smirking. He planted a kiss on my lips then smiled.

"PDA! PDA!" biglang sulpot ni Eunice at Ethan sa kung saan.

I immediately loosened myself from Ace. Nagngiting-aso naman sa akin si Eunice bago binalingan si Ace. Ilang segundo niya pang sinulyapan si Ace bago bumalik ang paningin sa akin.

"Gising na ulit si Tito, he's been looking for you and Asher so..." she gave me a concerned look.

I sighed. Nilingon ko si Ace, he smiled at me. I found myself inside my father's room. Agad lumiwanag ang mukha niya nang makita ako.

"Syden!" nakangiting aniya.

Bumuntong hininga ako saka ngumiti at lumapit sa kanya. "How are you, Dad?"

"I'm strong. I'm feeling strong." malapad ang ngiti niyang sabi. "Where's my grandson?" luminga linga siya.

"He's at home, Dad. Next time, I'll bring him here,"

"Tomorrow, please..."

"Okay, then. Tomorrow..." singhap ko.

His smile widened. Umupo ako sa upuan katabi ng hospital bed. Hinawakan ko ang kamay ni niya.

"Daddy, magpagaling ka, a." I said. My tears began to form. Suminghot ako. "I know you're strong, and stay stronger... for my wedding, soon."

Napawi ang ngiti niya.

"So, you're still pursuing that marriage, aren't you?" mahinahong sabi niya. "Syden, he's no good for you. I told you,"

"Dad, he changed. I know he loves me and I love him, too. I do love him, Dad. Maging masaya ka nalang po para sa amin, please." hinaplos ko ang palad niya.

"And besides, we owe him a lot for our company. But I don't marry him because of that, neither for he's the father of my son. But because he is the one I love."

"I'm grateful because he has signed the deal. That's all. Marrying you wasn't part of it, Syden. He crossed the line. We don't even know if he truly loves you. You're my princess and my one and only daughter. I only want the best for you."
