When the next morning's light broke it was a bit eerie, a fog had set overnight and it left the morning quiet but it wasn't the only thing. Three men were missing. Coincidentally it had been three of the men who had joined the king for dinner the evening before, when Thomson was informed of this by the butler who told him breakfast was almost ready his stomach churned. He got dressed and grabbed the package for Sapnap making his way to his room silently and a bit sneaky so as to not be seen by as many people as possible. As he arrived he knocked ever so softly. There was a soft shuffle before Sapnap came to the door, his hair still messy from sleeping and soft rings under his eyes. Thomson couldn't help but smile as it reminded him once again of his children.

"Sorry to bother you but here...if anyone asks, it's some maps" he said softly as he handed him the package. Sapnap seemed to perk up as he thanked him softly and smiled sleepily. Thomson gently patted his head then left to go to the breakfast table early.

When he got there he was surprised to see Dream there already and he simply bowed respectfully before taking his seat at the table. Dream smiled at him as he sat up in his seat seemingly wanting to have a conversation

"So did you sleep well? The maid said she worried you were dead when she came in to check" Dream said with a small laugh

Thomson smiled softly "yes your majesty, sorry for that I tend to be a bit of a heavy sleeper" he said as Puffy walked in

"Dream...my dear- my little duckling- I know that you really really like that girl but... your going a bit overboard, the manhunt was one thing with trying to clear up the situation but after all that I really really think the wedding is a bad idea- I love you and I trust you but I don't see this working out the way your hoping" she paid no mind to Thomson as she spoke as dreams face went bright red.

"Mo- P-puffy- we have guests!" Dream protested as his whole demeanor changed. Thomson simply smiled and laughed softly

"Don't worry your majesty, I understand- I'm a father- but a royal wedding? Nobody's heard of this?" He said calmly but he knew the only girl the king was after was his little dove so this new information was starting to fill him with dread.

"I...well.. in an attempt to make up with L'manburg I plan to propose that we have a royal wedding...it would not only make us strong allies but if I'm being honest I've... I've found myself  enamored with one of their members... Y/n..." he mumbled softly as he avoided eye contact

Thomson just smiled and nodded a bit "I understand, you look just like my oldest when he found his first lover, I have high hopes for you your majesty" he said politely but he felt the most fear and anxiety bubbling from his chest really to boil over and have him lose control. As the room filled up Dream calmed down a small smile from Thomson's kind support.

Breakfast was filled with almost all the men from the first meeting as they talked and ate. Thomson could barely eat and he excused himself early making sure Sapnap saw the look he gave him as he left. When he made it back to his room he had to hold onto the bed to keep himself up as his breathing became uneven and he was trembling. He had never been so terrified and angry all at once. When Sapnap came in he looked up not able to hide the look on his face

Sapnap rushed over "oh god- what's wrong?! So I need to call a nurse o-or a doctor?" He felt his own panic

"H-he's trying to marry her- that bat crazy bastards trying to marry my little dove-" he said as he slowly started to breathe in and out a bit better.

"W-what?" Sapnaps hands felt a bit clammy and his heart sank.

"He's trying to marry her as a means to ally with L'manburg- listen to me now- you have to keep her safe until I can get back...I don't care what you do but keep them safe and I'll be in you'd debt till the day my heart stops- please-" Thomson looked to the teen desperately
