Narrator's POVHoseok was furious.
Honestly, what right did Jungkook have to talk about Taehyung like that, without even knowing the full story? He was already growing quite mad with Jungkook's recent behaviour and actions, but now he'd definitely taken it a bit too far.
He was now infront of the door of the said boy, waiting impatiently for it to open after he had knocked on it a few times, along with pressing the doorbell.
And shortly after, it did open, only to be met with a guilty looking Jungkook.
"I knew you were an idiot, but I didn't think you'd be this much of an idiot, Kook."
"I-I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to but it just.. it just slipped out of my mouth without me even thinking, I just-"
"I don't know about that, but what's done is done. You've been acting waaay too weird for a while with him, and you sent him into one of the most terrifying states of panic I've ever seen him go through, Jungkook. It was terrifying for us, imagine how terrifying it was for him? "
Jungkook couldn't give an answer as guilt washed over him even more, feeling horrible for saying that to Taehyung. He had seen how crushed Taehyung had looked as he'd said those words. And now he caused this. He caused what happened to his Taehyung.
Why did he have to be so stupid?
"Why? And why would you even go hang out with the people who hurt him in the first place? I just don't understand!" He exclaimed, barging into the house so they wouldn't make a scene outside.
"I don't know! I wasn't even the one who went to them first! They came to me and suddenly acted like we've been friends for years! And I.. I guess I just.. just went along with it because.. I don't know, okay! Fuck, I'm so stupid!" The younger followed Hoseok as he rambled, feeling utterly lost about this whole situation.
"Kook.. Aargh fuck, just, ugh. I don't know either. Damnit, just tell me how you came to know about them being friends in the past."
"They told me. Jihun and the rest. Honestly, I went to them asking why they hated Taehyung so much, thinking if I got an answer maybe I could fix the bullying issue, but then.."
"Then what?" Hoseok gritted through his teeth, the thought of them making his blood boil.
"They told me everything, about how they used to be friends. And then one day when Taehyung confessed to Jihun, he rejected him nicely at first bec-"
"Nicely? Oh boy, this fucker-" he huffed, "but go on."
"Okay.. like I said, he apparently rejected him nicely at first, but then Taehyung didn't accept that and.. eventually.. uh.."
"Just fucking say it Jungkook, what'd they say?" He seethed, making the latter cower under his gaze.
This side of him was something that came out scarcely. Rarely. And it was terrifying.
Jungkook audibly let out a breath out of his mouth and continued, "They said that he eventually took advantage of Jihun, when he and his friends were drunk at a party, and that before anything majorly bad could happen, one of his friends took care of the situation... And I-"
"Oh my fucking goodness, the fucking audacity of those fucktards!!" He bellowed, anger seeping out from his voice, "And you believed them? Out of all people, THEM?!"
"I didn't at first!! I didn't know what to think, I couldn't even imagineTaehyung doing that!! But then Jihun said I could ask Taehyung himself if I didn't believe him, also saying that Tae wouldn't answer, or would avoid answering it because he still felt guilty for doing what he apparently did!" He yelled out, frustration lacing his words and voice.
