Narrator's POV"There we go. How do you feel now, Koo?"
"Very cold."
"That's good, better than too warm in this case," he said, using a fluffy white towel to dry off Jungkook.
He had just finished wiping the sick boy clean with a wet towel. He figured this would be better than straining Jungkook more with a bath or a shower, and he wouldn't need to stay in the water for too long and then catch something else on top of this fever.
"You think you can eat now, bun?"
Shyly smiling at the pet name, Jungkook nodded. "Chicken noodle soup?"
"Chicken noodle soup, yes. Hobi hyung and Jin hyung brought some earlier when you were asleep."
"Yum!" he cheered, and Taehyung chuckled in response, pressing a small kiss on his forehead as he finished drying him off.
"You're adorable."And Jungkook only smiled and blushed more, hiding his face in the younger's chest; too tired and hungry to argue.
Eventually, they got down to the kitchen after Jungkook got dressed in some shorts and a grey t-shirt, to heat up their dinner. The rest of their evening passed by quite uneventfully, unless one would call gentle chit-chats and laughs and other mundane things a couple would do as something eventful.
However at one point, they did talk about the series of things that happened in the course of the past few weeks, maybe months; simply recalling them and allowing themselves to feel their emotions properly. Everything was fast-paced, which meant that neither of them were able to duly feel any of the emotions that they'd experienced. Jungkook described it as some sort of horrifying fever dream, and both of them expressed the relief of knowing that the fever dream was over and they could finally recover from the damage.
They survived. Now they can live.
"I'm just glad we can go back to our normal life soon. Just one more hurdle to face," Jungkook expressed, feeling content in Taehyung's arms that were holding him from behind.
The younger adjusted the blanket before kissing his neck and burying his face there, "Our normal life, huh?"
"Yeah. Uni, hanging out with hyungs, going out on dates with you and doing boyfriend things and all that…. oh and yes, we have to go visit my parents right? They're super eager to meet you in person!"
"Yeah, I'm really excited for that, kinda nervous too but mostly excited. I think we can go the weekend after we're all caught up with uni?"
"That sounds good."
A small pause followed afterwards, which was then cut short by Taehyung, "Wait, did you just say 'boyfriend things'?"
"....Maybe?" Jungkook shyly smiled for the millionth time today before turning around to face Taehyung with that same smile (which of course, the younger returned almost instantly and too excitedly), "Doing 'boyfriend things' sounds fun, right? Wanna do it with me?"
Giggling like a child, Taehyung scrunched up his nose and kissed Jungkook—who was also giggling like a child.
"That's such a cheesy way to ask someone out. You're such a dork. And I was supposed to do that once your fever was gone!""Doesn't matter, now yes or no?"
Taehyung kissed him once again, "What do you think?"
And with a fond smile Jungkook guessed, "Yes?"
"Yes."
