Narrator's POV

Something that stood out as extremely strange about Yuna's death, was that it was really sudden.

When the doctors had checked Yuna's condition after Taehyung's visiting time had been over on the day the boys had last visited her, she had been completely fine. Her health had slowly seemed to be going up, and nothing had seemed out of the ordinary.

And since her death was so unexpected, they had done an autopsy on her before Yuna's funeral, and they had ended up finding traces of cyanide in her bloodstream.

And it had been concluded that her death was caused by cyanide poisoning.

The authorities were still investigating the case and were on the lookout for the criminal. The boys had been notified of the news just after the funeral, which had only broken them down even further.

Their Halmoni wasn't supposed to die, her life was stolen.

Yuna's murder had definitely taken a major toll on all of them. They weren't okay, not at all.

After getting through their classes, Jimin would cry himself to sleep each night when he would be back in his dorm with Yoongi, cursing every evils the world held, cursing whoever took their Halmoni away from them. Yoongi would tear up as well, and they sought comfort from eachother's presence alone. Hoseok couldn't focus much on his part time job or classes anymore, and he would often space out for a long time, and then find his eyes watering when he would snap out of it. His roommates, Namjoon and Seokjin were also the same, except they would focus on things a little too much to distract themselves. Jungkook would find himself crying whenever he talked about Yuna to his mother, and about how great she was.

But moreover, they were all extremely worried for their youngest friend.

He would work and work and work, nonstop. He would always keep himself busy in some way, be it doing endless amounts of University works causing him to be weeks ahead of himself, or working as both a waiter- as Hoseok's colleague- and working at Mr. Park's flower shop, as a cashier.

After classes, he would go straight to the café with Hoseok, put on the most realistic and genuine smile he could muster and work tirelessly. When his shift would be over, he'd go back home. He would still instinctively call out to his grandmother saying he was back home, only to receive silence as an answer. And he would then refuse to sleep, and instead work on whatever assignments or works he had from his classes till he would unintentionally fall asleep on his desk.

But that moment of rest wouldn't last long, it would only get brutally interrupted by nightmares. And when he would wake up from those horrid dreams, it would already be early morning, and so he would get ready to go back to classes, barely eating anything.

If it was too early to get ready, and if his thoughts got too overwhelming for him to handle alone, he would go into his bathroom, and cut himself without a soul knowing.
During the weekends, he would work at the place where his grandmother once used to. The manager, Mr. Park, often took pity on Taehyung, seeing his unstable state.

And then the cycle would continue.

V wasn't any better. He would surface often and randomly. And if he found himself at University or one of his workplaces, he would simply pretend to be Taehyung and do whatever he was told to do, being as seamless as possible.

But he was more violent.

He would use violence as a method to let off steam, as an outlet.

Whenever Jihun and his friends would come to Taehyung for pissing him off or for just verbally bullying him, V would snap and smash their heads against the wall or give them a punch or two, along with a few kicks, on the spot. And to others, it was a horrifying sight to see, seeing the quiet, weird kid go berserk. And that had caused more humiliating rumours to spring up, which damaged both V's and Taehyung's mental wellness.
