Narrator's POV

The more he thought about what Taehyung had said in their argument over the past couple of days, the more he drowned himself in guilt.

V was the one in control most times ever since then, as Taehyung still kept silent whenever the protective alter would try and reach out to him. When he would surface at random, he would completely ignore V and spend time consoling a very confused and sad Jungkook; assuring that their feelings were always mutual and that sometimes he just needed to be alone and have some time for himself for a while (he had to do that as V would smoothly withdraw out of any romantic intimacy between him and Jungkook, because he could only see him as a friend and nothing more, given that he identified as aromantic asexual; very much unlike Taehyung).

Jungkook, on the other hand, grew more concerned for the younger. Since he still didn't exactly know the truth about Taehyung and his alters, he often grew confused and agitated when the ravenette would shut himself in their room more often nowadays. And even though he wouldn't show it, Taehyung would somehow know what he was feeling, and he would be calm and in love with the younger boy again as usual, when the latter would reassure him with gentle words and tender kisses— just like he had done before.

Which made him quite frustrated as well. When he'd think back to the times when Taehyung would reassure him, he would find it a little frustrating how easily he felt perfectly fine again, without proper confrontation. And at one point, he started worrying about the possibility of their current relationship being a bit toxic, since it felt... weird when this would happen again and again. Don't get him wrong, he still loved Taehyung with his whole being (even though they hadn't said that to each other just yet), but let's just say that overthinking got the best of him.

So he thought going out alone today to work on his project– clicking some pictures of Seoul while making use of certain techniques he learnt about in his classes– would do him some good. Just to clear his mind. And to work on his project too, of course. It was only fair if he got a little time for himself like Taehyung too, so he didn't think the latter would mind.

Although he was hesitant to leave the younger one alone because of many reasons, when he talked to him about it, Taehyung didn't seem to mind at all.

In fact, he encouraged Jungkook to do it not only because it was a project that was quite relevant in his course, but also because he knew how much the older boy liked going out and taking photos of scenes that caught his eye. He figured it would do Jungkook some good to spend a bit of time with himself as well.

And that was why they were standing in front of the door now, Jungkook smoothly putting on his Timberlands as he gripped onto his bag while Taehyung stood there adorning a small smile on his face.

"Call me immediately if something happens or if you need me, okay puppy?"

"I will, Koo. I'll be here working on some of my own art projects and stuff. You take care and have fun, yeah?" He replied, smiling warmly as he hugged the older, squeezing him a little.

Jungkook nodded against Taehyung's shoulder, and pulled away from the hug only to place a chaste kiss on the younger's lips, "I'll be back before late. Stay safe, Tae."

With that, he left the house in hopes of capturing some of the pleasing, aesthetic scenes of afternoon Seoul, leaving Taehyung and V alone for a while. Quite possibly a long while.

Not ideal at the moment.

Taehyung went back into his shared bedroom with Jungkook, feeling unsettled by the awful silence inside him. He couldn't hear V even though his presence was prominent, but what could he even say if he did start speaking? He still wasn't ready to talk to or apologize to V for being so rude to him, and there wasn't anything else to speak about.
