[Disclaimer: I have no idea how things like traditional fairs and all work in Korea, so whatever I've mentioned here is purely fictional, just like the rest of the story. I don't even know if this is a thing there but I made it a thing just for the plot hehe, hope I'm forgiven.]

Narrator's POV

The newly found knowledge for Jungkook, of him in fact having some fond feelings for Taehyung, somehow made him giddy. Very giddy. But it hurt too.

Especially when they were still distancing from the other.

It had been more than a couple of weeks now, and Jungkook missed the younger boy so much.

He'd realised that hanging out with Taehyung's bullies would do neither him nor Taehyung any good, so he'd started to slowly avoid them and isolate himself from everyone, only joining the six lads for lunch or after class hangouts only if they'd invited him over. Which had not been as often as before.

Whenever he'd try to talk with him at Uni, all he would get is a dry reply or just a nod or a shake of his head.

It hurt. Alot.

But one thing that had kept him going was the much anticipated event of a traditional fair the locals held every year in their residence, at a surprisingly large fairground. It was an event conducted for the people there to bond, to have a day off, to enjoy themselves after long weeks or months of work or school. And it was being held the day after tomorrow for them.

And since it was a traditional event for the folks, many wore hanboks, modern ones or traditional ones. Others wore something more casual. It was really just an event for everyone where one could just enjoy their time there.

They have almost all the rides you can think of, temple sites, street food stands, small souvenir shops and also a firework show at the end of the event.

It was Taehyung's grandmother who wanted to go and have a good time with all of her favourite boys there. And of course, Taehyung couldn't decline her, he loved her too much for that. And it also seemed like a good idea because it could make her happy. And happy Halmoni means happy Taehyung. And happy Taehyung means happy life. Or something like that.

...And maybe he could sort things out with Jungkook too? It had been a long while after all. They both got enough space from eachother. And Taehyung thought he could handle being just friends with the older boy again. Just not as close as before, maybe. He didn't know yet.

So he decided to just go with the flow.

"Come on you slowpokes, hurry up! We've got some cool hanboks to buy!" Seokjin turned back, yelling at the rest of the boys.

The seven friends had decided to go to the mall for a little hanbok shopping trip today, the evening before the fair. They opted for the modern ones because it was 'a perfect mixture of traditional and cool', as Jimin liked to put it.

"Hyung, we still have time, slow down." Taehyung said, chuckling at his hyung's excitement.

"Well, yeah, but like, come on I'm too excited for this! Oh and.. guys, how about we split into groups to make things faster for us once we get there?"

"Turn around Jinnie, we're already here." Namjoon said, giving his boyfriend a fond smile.

"Oh. Okay so how 'bout we split? Me and Joonie, Yoongi, Jiminie and Hoseokie, and.. Taehyungie and Jungkookie? .. would that be alright?"
