"What happened? Why are you panting?" Loona's worried voice could be heard from the other side.

I looked behind me; Jimin looking through the crowd. His eyes met mine for a split second before I turned around and picked up my pace. If there was one thing I wasn't willing to do was talk to him.

"Kind of in a wild goose chase, call you later, bye." I hung up before she could reply.

"Ms. Kim!" I heard Jimin shouting, probably in hopes of stopping me.

Too late buddy...

I ran as fast as I could, hoping he would lose track of me, but that didn't stop him from shouting my name like a madman. "Ms. Ki-"

"Shut up!" I shouted back, turning to look at him. He stopped; his eyes wide. Standing in the middle of the pavement, our gazes meeting; after overcoming whatever small shocked state of mind he went through, he ran after me.

I cursed; if Park Jimin is competing with you in a race, there's no way you'll win.

I felt being yanked back, a firm grip on my wrist. Letting out a choked gasp, I crashed into his frame behind me. "I don't know why you were running but it was shameful." He grits out.

It took me a few seconds to comprehend what was happening. Everything took place in the blink of an eye. I frowned as I turned around only to see him looking at me with bitterness. If his mouth spit venom whenever he talked about me, I'm sure he would be the most poisonous snake out there.

I wrenched my hand out of his grasp, making him jolt forward. "Sadly, I am not one of the perfectionists, you expect me to be." I seethed.

"Don't even bother, I already know that."

I turned on my heel, only to be seized back again.

"Will you just stop?!" the abrupt yell, making the passersby look at us uncannily.

But as if I cared about that.

"You aren't one of the sophisticated people I've met, Ms. Kim," He glares, referring to the people around us.

"Oh, that's unfortunate, but at least I don't have a fake reputation to maintain." I countered.

The grip on my wrist got tighter, almost blocking the blood flow.

I held in the wince reflex. Meeting Jimin's ice-cold stare, I found a new characteristic of his adult-self. He is intimidating when he's angry.

I didn't even know what I was doing nor did I know why he was always so ticked off with me; as if my mind stopped processing information, making me feel like a no-brainer.

"Let's get back," he swiftly turned, tugging me along. Taking a moment to understand what he meant, I jerked my wrist back, making him groan in frustration.

"You disgust me." I strode off, straight onto the road, not noticing the once red light turned green.

The male panicked, brows furrowing as he looked at the neon signal blaring at him, then at my figure. Busy swallowing my pathetic tears, I refused to look around, not coming to my senses as I held back sobs. The sound of a car's horn honked loudly made me snap my head to look up. Two yellow lights burned into my eyes, blinding my view. I rubbed my eyes because of the sudden increase in brightness.

It all happened in a flash, tires screeching against the road. My form pushed away, crashing on the ground with a thud, my knees and elbows bruised as blood starts oozing. Barely able to feel anything, I felt numb, the searing pain in my joints wasn't bothering me, what disturbed me was the next thing I saw.
