Chapter 34:Sonneblume, Schatz and Kuschelbär

Melody POV

I hopped in my car as steven took a cab here.  I looked around and saw him kinda looking down. I saw him smile at me but it didn't meet his eyes.  I drove to Alberts and saw it was empty.I walked out of the car and looked back at Steven. We sat down and looked at each other

"So I guess i don't have chance" Steven asked while checking out the menu . I sighed and looked down , checking my menu. I looked at him ,biting my bottom lip. He just smirked at me and nodded at me.

"It is okay Melody , I know you love him . But I will know you and I will still be your friend,  although you have horrible taste". I chuckled at him and got closer to him. He put his hand out and smiled as I grabbed it.

"It would have been something to date you. But it is something to be your friend ". I played with his fingers and looked at him.

"Thank you Steven , I am glad to be friends with you". I brush his hair to the side and pull back. We order our food as the waitress is staring at him only. I winked at him but he shook his head.

"I need a girl who is ready to be a mom , not a girl who wants someone to go clubbing".I looked disappointed since I knew so little of him but it was time to ask.

"Steven I know you are still young , 27 is young still but your daughter doesn't need a mother.  My father was all I needed , and all she needs is you". His eyes were piercing through mine and he put a slight frown. 

"She left a f#cking baby at my door , as soon as i came back from war ,telling me she can't be a mom.  Here I was foolish,  thinking she wanted to get married to me . Be together , fall in love, be a happy family.  But she wanted to run off to Canada , marry a 60 year old billionaire. My daughter wasn't enough to make her her stay. " Steven looked at me and smirked.  It was a sarcastic smirk as the waitress approached us .
Steven winked at young lady ,causing her top run away and giggle.

"Stop making her think she had a chance.  But you know ,any girl would love to have a guy like you ". He smiled as we ate our hamburgers.  He looked at his phone and passed it to me.  I saw a beautiful little girl , who looked like steven. I smile at her little curly locks , something  she must have got from her mom . His piercing eyes , the mixture of blue and green, smiling with her small grin.

"Your daughter is so beautiful, She looks like you". I looked at a smirking Steven. He pushes his small curly brown hair out of his face and breaths a huge sigh.  He bites into his food and shrugs. 

"I should take you home shouldn't I? "He starts to get up but I  held him down.

" why do you have somewhere to be? if you are worried about me and aiden ,you don't have to. I'm not going home to aiden until I figure out how much he understand why we broke up" I called back the waitress and ordered carrot cake. I saw Steven smile and he ordered ice cream.

"Well, why did you break up? you never actually gave me an honest reason we barely know each other but after today I feel like you and I will be friends for a long  time". I looked up his toothy grin and started to chuckle

"You are a charmer aren't you". I smiled as he winked at me. I looked at my phone and saw a text message for Aiden. It says if i was coming home. I saw Steven frown but change it quickly. I smirked and replied Yes , but looked back at my friend.

"I try, Now tell me the reason why you are so embarrassed ?why you're with a rich billionaire ,honestly isn't that what you want. Most girls want that picture perfect guy. He is distance but he is so cute on the inside " Steven looked at me with his eyebrow raised and smirked. I bite my lip and rolled my eyes. This is what everyone assumes when I am with aiden.
