I'm Not Over You

Y/N's POV

Its been what about almost a year since she left and ever since I've been feeling empty and numb. She's constantly in my head and all I can see is the memories of us and I want more than that

She left me…

Damn thats so hard to say even avlfter many months

She said she has been trying to keep us together but I wasn't catching the hints ams I guess thats because I was busy with work amd stuff. She said she needed me and I wasn't there for her

And I tried fighting for her to stay but she said its too late... That was the last time I saw and heard her in person but I guess she's cool with me now

I heard she's getting married. I tell myself I'm happy for her but deep down I hate her for moving on

Fortunately she sent me an invitation to her wedding and I'm contemplating if I should attend or ignore the invitation

"Y/N aren't you getting ready?" My mom asked walking into my room

I was sprawled out on my bed staring blankly at the ceiling

"Y/N/N get up we're gonna be late to Meg's wedding. Why are you still laying in bed? Come on get up" she said pulling me up

"I don't think I'm going" I mumbled

"I get that you still love her but she invited you because she wants you to be there for her. You can bring a guest with you if it will help you. What about that Lauren girl? She's cute are you two finally a thing?"

My mom loved Megan, she still does but she's been trying to set me up with other girls because 'I'm sulking for way too long... Megan done moved on'"

"Lauren is just a friend mom" I said getting up anyway

"I don't think she swss you as just a friend though" she said wiggling her eyebrows at me

"Ew mom stop" I said before laughing lightly

"Thats tgr first I've heard you laugh in so long"

"Way to ruin the moment" I said

"Girl whatever go get ready while I call Lauren and tell her to do the same" mom said walking out of my room

I'm now dressed and standing in front of my mirror looking at my reflection and my mind was in its own world

"There's my baby" I heard a familiar voice but it wasn't the voice that I longed to hear

I forced a smile when I saw Lauren's reflection behind me through the mirror

Lauren and I met at the bar the night Megan left me but we haven't done anything, not even a kiss. She's been a great friend and thats all I sew her as but its obvious she has feelings for me

"You look great" she added

"Hey Laur, thanks. You look great too" I said turning around to face her

"Are you ready?" She asked and I nodded

Ohh so I was but not emotionally

"Y/N is that you?" I heard Megan's grandmother ask from behind me making me stop amd turn around

"It is you! Hi my baby" she said engulfing me in a hug, I displayed a small smile before hugging her back

"I didn't know if you would attend the wedding" she added when she pulled away

"Me either" I said truthfully
