Y/N's POV

I invited Normani over for our third date and I'm nervous. I told her I was going to make us dinner and she agreed

Its been about two weeks since we had our second date which was at the movie theater and I can't get her smile out of my head. I usually don't classify women that I date as 'my type' because truthfully I just want a girl that wants the same thing as me, that will be by my side when I need them the most

But Normani is different than the other girls I've dated in the past, she has this spark in her eyes as she talks about her career, she's straight forward with a situation and doesn't beat around the bush

"West" I called out as I placed the dowl of dog food beside the container that had his water

Soon I could hear his paws clawing against the hand wood floor rushing over to where I was.

West is my son, my French bull dog, I love dogs. I would get another one but West gets jealous when we go to the dog park and I pet another dog so I know getting another one is a big no

I rubbed his head as he dug into his food afterwards I washed my hands and started to make dinner

I had messaged Normani and asked her what she liked to eat and she gave me a list and at the end she had the nerve to say 'you can chose one'

One thing about me, you give me a list of what you want, I'm gonna get you everything on that list, if I can't I get what I can. She don't know me too well yet to know that though but she about to find out tonight

I looked over the list and took out the ingredients I had that matched with the food on the it

The table was set with the wine and candles

I was now dressed decently but not too dressed up, as I was about to sit the doorbell went off. I went to open the door amd there stood Normani

"Hey beautiful" I grinned making her blush

I have never smiled this much talking to a woman, this woman had me grinning at the thought of even her name

"Hi good looking" she replied with a flirty smile

"I see someone is getting bold" I said and kissed her cheek

She smiled sheepishly and I let her into the house

"Oh my God, you didn't have to do all this. I'm a simple girl, you could have just made us dinner and we watch a movie" she said smiling widely at the set table

"Its no big deal really, I like to make a good impression" I replied before leading her over to the table

I pulled out the chair for her to sit before heading over to the kitchen to get the food I had prepared
