The Goddess of the River

Y/N's POV

My buddies and I planned a trip to go camping since its been a while since we all hung out together

"You got everything? You used the bathroom? You know its going to be a long drive" I said them as we started boarding the van.

I always have to be on they asses cause someone is always leaving something

"Make sure you packed your own food cause you all be picky and lastly I ain't sharing my tent with none of you hoes" I added

"Y/N/N calm down, we got it all" Mathew said

"I'm just making sure" I said and got in the van, I sat at the very back since there was an odd one I had the whole back seat for myself

I layed back and got my phone so I could watch some Netflix on the way

1 hour later

"Yow, can we stop for a quick sec?" Mathew asked taking glances at me

"Boy I know you ain't testing me right now" I said

"I'm sorry, I didn't need to use it when we were at the house" my 15 year old brother said

"This is why I don't take you nowhere with me bro" I said before smacking my lips

Cameron pulled over on the side of the road and let Mathew out so he could do his business

Once he was done, he can back into the van and we started our journey once again

2 hours later

"Psst"

I ignored him and continued to watch my series and watch my Hot Cheetos

"Psst" he got louder

When I didn't answer I saw his hand sneaking into my bag of chips and I smacked his hand

He winced and pulled back his hand

"Bro what did I say before we left the house?" I asked pausing the show

'See this is why I ain't having no kids' I thought

"I did pack my snacks but I already ate them"

"Its only an hour left before we pass another gas station, you will survive" I said and went back to watching my show

We finally made it to the camp site and it was pretty cool, we could see the river from were we chose to camp

"Let's set up these bad boys" Cameron said aloud and we agreed as he pulled out his tent

As I was putting my tent together I saw Mathew struggling

I finished mine and set up my blowup bed inside, and had already placed my stuff inside before heading over to Mathew

"Need help lil bro?" I asked watching him obviously struggle

"No I'm fine, I don't need your help" he said still upset that I didn't share my Cheetos with him

I shrugged and went over to Cameron, Jermain and Phillip which were standing by the river back

"I heard that this river is magical, it sings and heals not sure if its this part but I know it happens at the falls" Phill said making Cam, Jermain and I look at him like he was crazy before we started laughing

"Good one buddy" I said patting his back

"Sure was" the other guys agreed

"Let's go make a fire before it getter dark out" I said seeing the sun go down

We went back over to our tents and saw Mathew trying to light the camp fire

"Give me that before you burn yo'self cause you ain't gonna get the blame, it's me"

"I'm tired of you treating me like a kid" he said throwing a tantrum

"Boy you is 15, you are a kid" I said and pushed him out of my way so I could light the pile of woods we collected

We ate and talked until we got tired, each of us went to our tents and as I was walking towards mine I looked over at Matthew's

It looked like if a bird pitched on it, it would tumble down to the ground

"You sure you don't need my help?"

"Leave me alone" he said and turned his back to me as he continued to fix his tent

"Okay" I said and shrugged 

I got in my tent, turned on my lantern that I brought and searched for my portable power bank. I plugged in my phone and turned on my battery dependent protable fan

I let out a content sigh as I layed back on my blow up bed and got comfortable under the sheets before dozing off

Soon I heard the pins from a tent hit the ground and waited

As predicted I heard his voice right outside my tent "Y/N/N"

I rolled my eyes before zipping the zipper down to let him in

"In here is so cool and has so mosquitoes" he said getting on the bed

"Your welcome" I said sarcastically, he didn't even say thank you for letting him in, I should've let his ass outside 

I hardly got any sleep because of this lil boy snoring and kicking around

It was around 5 am I actually got some sleep

"Psst" 

I ignored him and went back to sleep

"Ayo Y/N/N!" Mathew yelled and I rolled my eyes before opening them

"Y/N/N!" He yelled and he's right beside me

"Do you love your teeth?" I asked him

"Of course, how am I suppose to eat without them. Although this front one is twisted inwards, momma said she's gonna let me get braces" he ranted

"You definately need it if you don't shut up" I threatened 

"Why were you calling me?" I added

"Oh, I was telling you that I'm going for a swim" he said

"Yeah whatever" I mumbled and went back to sleep
