The Goddess of the River 2

Y/N's POV 

After another 3 hours of sleep I decided to get up

After getting out the tent I looked out at the river and saw the guys in it but I diddidn'te Matthew so I approached them

"Yo! Where's Matt?"

"He said he was going for a walk" Cameron said

"By himself?"

"Yeah, that boy is 15, be can walk himself" Phillip said

"We're in the woods!" I yelled

I guess the realization finally hit them because they ran out of the river and followed me to look for my brother

After 20 minutes of walking I heard the falls and the sound of singing. We soon had a full view of the falls

I saw Mathew on the other side of the water and was confused as to how he got over there because the power of the water was strong and not to mention the river was wide

"Boy! You almost gave me a heart attack, how'd you get over there?" I questioned

"I walked" he shrugged

"That wasn't funny, seriously how did you get on the other side and who's singing? You found a girl?" I asked looking around but there was no one else but us

"Its the water, see I told you that it was stronger around this side" Phillip said

"Yeah, okay, Matt come on" I said and turned on my heel to leave

"No" I heard said and I stopped in my tracks before turning around

The guys shrugged and looked over at the 15 year old boy

"Mathew, I said let's go" I said sternly and this boy had the nerve to flick me off

I dived into the water only for it to spit me back out on the dry land

"The fuck?" I said as I looked at the guys

"You have to sing to it" Phillip said

He sang to it and it parted, he walked through and so did the other guys but when it was my time to walk the water came back together

The other guys were now on the other side and I was back at square one

"She doesn't like you" Mathew said

"Who?" I asked confused cause there was no female present

"Beyoncè, the Goddess of the River duh"

I huffed and looked around for a way to get to the other side

'Thank God' I said when I spotted a log but it was all the way to the end of the falls

I walked towards it and started to get on it only for it to magically get washed away

"Why must you test me?" The same voice that was singing said but this tuene I didn't see the water, it was lava

"Why must you test me, I'm obviously trying to get my brother" I answered the voice

Then I felt a splash of water on my face, I used my hands to get the water out of my eyes, when I opened them this woman was standing in front of me

Not on land but was actually standing in the water

"Let me guess, your the 'Goddess of the River' " I mocked

"I am, do you find that amusing?" She asked

"I find it absurd" I said and dived back into the river only for it to spit me back on land...again

"For someone so cute your very arrogant and stubborn" she said

"Well Ms. Goddess I get that a lot" I said and decided to give up

I just sat and put my feet in the water only to feel something bite my toe

"Now you did that on purpose" I said to the girl

"Maybe I did" she smirked

I looked at her then back at the water before splashing her

"Very funny" she said with a sarcastic smile

"You know, he's just a kid, he's still growing up. The least you can do is show him that you love him and that he can count on you" she added as she made a chair out of the water and sat in it

"I get that but he can be very annoying" I stressed

"Are you real?" I asked after a few seconds of silence

"What kind of question is that?" She said raising an eyebrow

"Its just, can you actually stand on land?" I asked noticing she never set foot on the land from she started talking to me

"Let's just say, water, earth, wind and fire don't get along so we stay to our elements, but yes I'm real" she said and reached out her hand

"What" I said as I looked between her and her out reached hand

"Take my hand" she said a small smile on her lips

I shrugged and took her hand, she helped me up so we were both standing then she stepped back making me step forward

"Are you trying to drown me?" I asked curious

"Now that you mention it, I might just do it" she said and went to snap her finger but I stopped her

"Okay I'm sorry" I apologized

"Good, now come on" she said and pulled me with her

I couldn't believe it, I was actually walking in water. She got me feeling like Peter

"Where are we going?"

She didn't answer and soon we came to a stop

We were at the top of the falls and the view was incredible, I could see the whole woods

"Its beautiful isn't it?"

"Hell yeah" I said actually smiling

Anyone that knows me, knows I hardly smile

She held my hand and went to jump but I stopped her

"What do you think your doing? You live in the water, I don't" I said pointing out the obvious

"Just relax, I won't let you drown or are you too much of a coward to do it?" She challenged

"I might be arrogant and stubborn but I'm not a coward" I said and she smiled at that

"Then jump with me" she said

"Alright" I said 

She counted to three before she jumped and I just watched her go down

I chuckled and went to walk over to the other side of the falls

All of the sudden I was no longer walking on water and my foot slipped on one of the slippery rocks and I started falling

It wasn't long before I heard a splash and the water engulfed my body

I tried swimming up to the surface but it was as if I wasn't moving

"Open your eyes" I heard her voice amd I did

When I did I could see the fishes and other aquatics creatures in the river then I saw her and it was then I realized how beautiful she was

She's really a Goddess
