Y/N's POV

"Y/N hurry up! Else we're gonna be late" my assistant, Ally spoke from the other side of my bedroom door

A sigh left my lips as when I heard her. I looked at my reflection in my full length mirror

"Do I really have to go?" I asked my manager, James, who just waltz into my closet

"Yes you do" he sassed

"Why? I'm an actor. What could I possibly be involved with the Grammys?"

"You also sing Y/N. Did you forget that?" James questioned

At his answer I sucked my teeth because I really hated long and drawn out ceremonies

"Oh cheer up, who knows, you just might get all those awards you were nominated for" he spoke as he fixed my tie in place

"I better cause if not, I wasted my time for nothing" I mumbled and turned to get my phone and wallet

"Alright people let's go!" Ally my assistant yelled throughout the whole house

My manager, assistant and I got in the black SUV parked in the driveway of my house and made our way to the grammys

Cameras flashed and the fans screeched as soon as I got out of the vehicle

"Just smile and be nice" James said in my ear

"I am nice" I said and Ally and James both looked away from me whistling

"Wait. Aren't I?" I asked

"No time to chit chat, go" James said and nudged me over on the red carpet

I mustered up a fake smile and waved to the fans before posing for the paparazzi. I did this until I got to the end of the carpet. I observed that there was this one interview who was talking into her own camera and she waved me over like she did the other celebrities but the only difference with me was, I actually went over to her

"Y/N hey" she greeted

"Hello..." I trailed off as I did not get her name

I'd be lying if I said she wasn't beautiful. She had all my attention when I saw her smile.

'I wouldn't mind waking up to her smile every morning' I thought

The lime green dress hugged her body and complimented her glowing and flawless dark skin making me internally groan in pleasure

"Normani" she stated, her smile still bright as she looked up at me

"Hello Normani, you are looking beautiful tonight" I stated

"Thank you, so do you... I m-mean, you l-look h-handsome. S-so I ac-actually wr-wrote down some que-questions. I was thinking w-we could do l-l-like those fl-flashcard games. I-if you are u-up for it th-that is" she said and looked away flustered

'Maybe she's just nervous' I thought

"Yeah of course" I replied and she grinned before handing me three cards

"Okay..." I said as I scanned over the first flashcard

"The first question is, Are you excited to be here tonight seeing as I am nominated for not one but 2 grammy awards?" I read

"Uhm, to be honest, no cause I miss my son Draco which is actually my Pitbull and I already know that I won't be getting any of the awards tonight so..." I answered and shrugged

James gave me a look my mother used to give me when she saw me playing in church
