|| Ian's POV ||
I heard muffled sobs, so I sat up, looking over at Sam. She was tossing and turning, and sobbing as well. I stood up, and walked over. I tried to wake her up, and she sat up, looking right at me. She wrapped her arms around me tightly, and then whispered in my ear.
"Thanks god you're ok." I looked at her, puzzled.
"Nevermind..." She looked away, and I watched her look down and start twiddling her thumbs.
We sat in complete silence, until I spoke up.
"Are you ok if I sit here until you fall asleep?" I didn't want her to scare herself too much, I was just protecting her.
She looked a little hesitant, but then nodded her head. She layed down, facing away from me. I watched her, so peaceful. I heard her snoring lightly, so I started to move away. However, she reached her arm over and touched my hand.
"Please don't go." She whispered. She turned to face me, tears in her eyes. I nodded, and she closed her eyes, the tears dripping down her face.
I wiped them away, I couldn't just watch her break down. I stayed there, and we just looked at eachother. I was getting sleepy, and I yawned. She patted the spot next to her in the bed, and I raised my eyebrows. I lied down, and she just looked up at me. Now that I was close to her, she closed her eyes and fell asleep just before I did.
|| Sam's POV ||
I woke up, and felt like somebody was holding me. I tried to move, but somebody had restrained me. I looked up, to see what was going on.
Ian?
He was there, his arms around me, asleep.
Okay then?
I lied there, waiting for him to wake up. I heard footsteps in my room, and then they faded away.
Ian finally woke up, and smiled down at me.
"Good morning, sleepyhead." I giggled.
He let me go, and I slipped out of bed. He stood up, and left so I could change. I quickly threw on an outfit, and hurried down the stairs, still braiding my hair.
"Morning everyone!" I shouted before running into the kitchen, searching for something to eat.
"Dammit." I huffed to myself.
"What's wrong?" Ian said, walking towards me. He pecked my cheek, and I blushed.
"We kind have no food around here." I sighed.
"Great! We can go out to breakfast!" He smiled, and walked out to tell everyone else. I sighed, and ran to get my phone and purse.
By the time I got back downstairs, everyone was in the car. I ran out, and saw the only seat left was the passenger seat. I jumped in, and Ian started the car. I told him about a local diner, and he put the address into the GPS. We started driving, and it was pretty quiet. All until Anthony started talking.
"So, you two a thing now?" He gestured to me and Ian, and my face turned a deep crimson.
"W-why do you say that?" I asked, trying to sound serious.
"I went into your room, and saw you two laying in bed... so.."
"Why the HELL did you need to go into my room?" I looked into the rearview mirror, glaring at him.
His face was red, and I giggled. He was actually speechless for once.
We pulled up at the diner, and got out of the car. I asked for a big table, since we had 5 people. The waitress seated us, and took our drink orders. I sat at the end of the table, and the 4 guys sat on either side. We talked pretty much the whole time. I ordered waffles, which were really good. We finished our food, and left.
"Where to now?" Ian looked at the GPS, waiting for suggestions.
"The mall?" I thought we could spend some time there, and get lunch later.
Everyone agreed, and we started heading there. I had a strange urge to look at Ian in the rear view mirror, but Anthony, Greg, and Shane kept making faces to piss me off. I gave up, and we finally got to the mall. I was so pumped to look for some new clothes.
We walked towards American Eagle, making many stops on the way.
"Hey Sam, think you need anything in there?" Anthony pointed to Victoria's Secret, and I rolled my eyes.
"Sure YOU don't need anything in there?" He turned slightly red, and flipped me off. I returned the favor.
We aimlessly walked around for a while, only buying things at a few stores. We FINALLY got to American Eagle, and everybody was bored except me. Stupid guys and their attention spans.
I was looking for a nice sweater to wear when fall came, but it was like I had 4 kids to take care of. I could barely find what I wanted. We left the mall, no idea what to do. I kinda wanted to go home and practice my clarinet for a bit, so I suggested that we just go back and that we could go out later.
|| A couple hours later ||
Everybody suddenly wanted to go out, and shop at Target at 10 at night. I agreed, only so they would shut up. We cranked up the music on the way there, and had a singing party. I almost didn't notice what time it was, and then remembered that I was only 17 with 4 twentysomething guys in a car at midnight.
Shit.
The cops were doing ID checks, and I was shaking as they asked Ian for everybody's ID that had one. Everyone handed him one, but me. The officer raised his eyebrows, and asked me to step out.
Shit. Shit. SHIT.
I got out, and he let me towards the car. He asked me if I was ok, and where we were going. I told him the story, but he didn't care.
"You're a minor, driving with 4 adults! This is not looking pretty for any of you."
I had to call my aunt, and tell her the situation. All she did was yell at me. They wouldn't even let me get my stuff! They just shoved me into the car and sped off. I looked back, and saw Ian driving close behind us.
|| Ian's POV ||
They just TOOK Sam! I just wanted her back. They thought she was being kidnapped... or that she was a prostitute we hired.
I tried to stay right behind the cop car, and successfully made it all the way to the police station. We all got out of the car, and I was ready to slap someone. Sam got out of the car, looking as pissed as I was. We all went in, and I started yelling. I wanted Sam back. I needed her.
"Ian!" She ran to me, trying to hug me, but an officer got in our way. I glared at him, and he moved. I hugged her, and she buried her face in my chest. She was scared, I could just tell. She looked at me, and I moved her hair away from her face. We eventually cleared up everything, and the police let us go. I wouldn't let Sam go, so I made Anthony drive. Shane sat up front, and Greg sat in the back with me and Sam. I rubbed her back, and she leaned her head on my shoulder, slowly falling asleep.
We arrived at the house, and Sam drifted awake, but she looked like she'd rather not be. She rushed upstairs, and I heard her plop onto her bed. I took off my coat, and ran up the stairs. She was laying there, just staring at the ceiling. She smiled weakly, and rolled over. I plopped down, and she faced me. She layed right next to me, and I draped one arm around her.
I wanted to lay there forever, right here, next to her.
(AN: *screaming* I love this chapter! *heavy breathing*)
