Blister snatched the Eye of Onyx from Thorn. "IT IS MINE!" she hissed. "I AM DESTINED TO BE THE NEXT SANDWING QUEEN!" she roared menacingly. Thorn gasped, and Sunny hid behind Starflight. "I can't look!" she whispered-screamed.
Thorn looked at her legs, which were disappearing into thin air. Soon, her top half was also nothing but air. "Yes!" Blister cried. "The Eye of the Onyx chose me! Now, to finish you, my dear, weak, helpless sister without any IceWings, especially your friend, Glacier, by your side. I'll just stick to this." She slashed her sister Blaze with her tail for about ten times before she stopped. "That should do it." She turned to face the crowd. "SandWings! Prepare to bow to your new SandWing queen!"
Sunny swallowed hard. Thorn was just one step away from being queen, but now, she didn't even exist. It's all my fault, she realized. I'm the reason Blister is queen and Thorn- mom- doesn't even exist.
