"Hey... It's me..." I say in a low voice

"Hi!" he says sounding surprised

"I'm so sorry for ghosting u like that..."

"I don't care about that! Are u OK? Sarah told me u had a family emergency?"

"Thank God! So everything is ok?"

"Physically, yeah... Emotionally, no..."

"Did something happen?"

"Next week... I need a few more days to relax and think clearly..."

Next week indeed, I pack my things and get back to New Haven. As I get out of the airport, I see Nicky waiting for me

"Hey!! Didn't know u were gonna come!"I say excitedly as I hug her tight

"Wanted to surprise u! But I'm not alone..."she says and before I can ask her about it, I hear Oliver from behind me

"I drove!"he says and I turn around to look at him

"Of course u did..."I say as he hugs me smiling

"I missed u so much!" he says and pulls away to kiss me

"Yeah, me too..."I say trying to look happy and then I turn to Nicky, who shrugs her shoulders mouthing sorry. After that, we get in his car and leave

"So, how's your dad?" he asks after a few miles of total silence

"Good! Happy to see me..."

"Good..."

"So, we're definitely going out tonight!"Nicky says

"Well, I thought I should spend the day with her...she said we have to talk, right?"Oliver says

"The day, yeah, the night, nuh!"

"Guys! Don't fight! Oliver is right! I have to talk to him...after that we will talk again Nicky and we'll see, ok?"

"Fine..." they both say and then we fall into silence again...

"I'm so glad u're back! U got me so worried..." Oliver says when we get in his house

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to process some things... Sit down, please..." I say, sitting down

"U sound serious..." he says sitting down too

"I am... Look, Olie, u're a great guy!"

"I cheated on u, ok?" I yell turning to look at him with tears in my eyes and he freezes
