The Laptop

"He got me a laptop!"I tell her, getting in her room without knocking

"Hello to u too..." she says confused from her desk chair

"Hello, he got me a laptop!" I reply

"Who?"

"Aaron, focus!"

"Excuse u, but how should I know?"

"Yeah, ok... So he got u a laptop..."

"Yes! That manipulative bastard!"

"Oh come on! We have sex, then I start yelling at him and stuff and then not only he is not mad, but he actually wins me a job interview! Then, when I drunk-call him, he jokes about it and asks me about the interview and tells me that if the guy isn't still interested he will make him be... Then, I call him to say thank u and he picks it up while fucking someone, playing like he doesn't know who's calling- bullshits- calls me back later, offers to give me a ride when he realizes he's close to where I am and then tells me all that crap about how having sex with me made him realize what he has to do from now on and then asks me about my laptop and then he buys me one? He's trying to manipulate me! He plays the good guy, that holds no grudges, makes u think u're special to him, but then boom! He makes sure u know he's unavailable and happy... He's totally trying to make me fall for him! " I explain practically in one breath and at the end I start panting

"Ok ok! Let's say u're right, which is very unlikely, but let's say u are! Is it working?"

"What?"

"His play... Is it working?"

"No! Of course not!"

"Then u don't have to get so frustrated!"

"Right! I don't care, so I have to let it go!"

"Good! So, what are u gonna do about the laptop?"

"I'll take it back, of course! I can't accept it, obviously! The job was enough and something I really needed! But that is just an absurd gift that crosses a line!"

"I'd keep it... I mean, the model is great and he bought it for u, so it's already too late!"

"No, it's not! I can't just accept it! Not when I don't have something to give him back... So, I will take it back and the worst that can happen is him insisting so much that I just take it and leave!"

"Alright, whatever u think best..."

"Good, glad we talked about it! I'm gonna die now for a couple of hours so I can just clear my head a little before studying..."

"My poor thing... U look so pale!"

"I know, I think I'm low on ferritin also, I don't know... Anyway, I'm leaving, thank u for listening!"

"Of course, love! Anytime!" she says smiling and then I open the door and leave

The next morning, before going to work, I stop by Aaron's office to give him the laptop back. Even though I calmed down after my talk with Nicky, on my way to his office I started thinking everything that has happened and ended up getting even angrier than before, so when I arrived, I stormed in the building like a hurricane!

As I'm in my office going over some emails, I hear fuzz from outside, making me get up from my seat
