It wasn't long before they were surrounded by a cluster of death eaters.

"Where's Sirius?" Harry demanded.

Several of the Death Eaters laughed and a harsh female voice from the midst of the shadowy figures to Harry's left said triumphantly, "The Dark Lord always knows!"

Alex recognised her from her mugshot picture. Bellatrix Lestrange. This was Andromeda's crazy sister. "Always," Malfoy said softly. "Now, give me the prophecy, Potter."

"I want to know where Sirius is!"

"I want to know where Sirius is!" Bellatrix mimicked.

She and her fellow Death Eaters had closed in so that they were mere feet away.

"You've got him," Harry panicked. "He's here. I know he is."

"The little baby woke up fwightened and fort what it dweamed was twoo," Bellatrix mocked.

"Harry." Alex turned and faced him, her back to the death eaters. "Sirius is not here. It was a trick. Do you understand?"

"It was real-"

"It was a false memory." She said. "He faked it. Sirius is probably safe at home."

"Give me the prophecy, Potter." Lucius said, in a tone that reminded her entirely too much of her uncle.

"I know Sirius is here," Harry denied. He pushed past her to glare at the death eaters. "I know you've got him!"

"It's time you learned the difference between life and dreams, Potter." Malfoy said gleefully. "Now give me the prophecy, or we start using wands."

"Go on, then," Harry raised his own wand to chest height. As he did so, the rest of his company did the same.

"Hand over the prophecy and no one need get hurt." Malfoy said, coolly.

"Yeah, right!" Harry shot back. "I give you this... prophecy, is it? And you'll just let us skip off home, will you?"

"Accio proph-" Harry cut her off, with a spell of his own.

"Protego!" He called and clinged on to the glass ball.

"Oh, he knows how to play, little bitty baby Potter." Bellatrix said, her mad eyes staring through at them. "Very well, then-"

"I TOLD YOU, NO!" Lucius Malfoy roared at the woman. "If you smash it-!"

"You need more persuasion?" Bellatrix said, her chest rising and falling rapidly. "Very well- take the smallest one." She ordered the Death Eaters beside her. "Let him watch while we torture the little girl. I'll do it."

Alex stepped in front of her sister, ready to snarl back at the death eaters, but Harry beat her to it. "You'll have to smash this if you want to attack any of us." He told Bellatrix. "I don't think your boss will be too pleased if you come back without it, will he?"

Alex vaguely listened as Harry exchanged words with Lucius and Bellatrix, and learnt about the prophecy. She was more focused on a plan. She looked around. Large shelves formed sort of walls to their left and right, though their front and rear was exposed. She softly inched to Hermione.

"Remember kabe?" She asked Hermione who nodded. "We cast it together for maximum strength. Spread the word, soon as the spell goes up they run. You follow. I'll stay behind, distract a little longer. I've still got my immunity, so I should be fine. Meet you in a little while."

"Okay." Hermione said, and Alex slinked back to where she stood. She told Ginny to run as soon as she saw blue, and heard Hermione tell Neville who told Luna, who told Ron. Luna whispered a little loudly so Harry would overhear but not so loudly as to alert the death eaters. Alex waited a beat before catching Hermione's eyes. She nodded.

"Kabe!" The girls yelled, tracing a rectangular shape in the air. The group quickly made a run for it until Hermione and Alex were left.

"Hermione, go!" Alex hissed. The Gryffindor hesitated. "Immunity and they won't risk apparating me if I'm fighting. I've got this, go." Hermione sighed but nodded, rushing away until only Alex was left. The death eaters attempted spell after spell but she kept it up until she thought they'd all gone far enough.

"Do not harm her." Lucius advised his sister in law. "The dark lord has made clear that she is to be kept unharmed."

"Looks like you're at a disadvantage then, because I have no trouble harming you." She said before slashing her wand and letting go of her Japanese shield spell. The front line of death eaters stumbled back falling against those behind her as she made a run for it. She wasn't sure where everyone went and took a left.

She couldn't find anyone and dared not yell for help in case a death eater was nearby. She could only hope they'd all gotten out.

Alex continued running until she came to a random office. There was a fireplace and some floo powder. Hoping it wasn't abandoned and still connected to the floo network, she reached for the pot but a spell narrowly missed her, shattering the pot instead. A burst of sparkling green powder rained on her, and her wand was in her hand in an instant. The distraction of the floo powder had diverted her attention for too long and she was too slow with her reflexes. Griffiths had his wand to her throat.

Now, ordinarily, Alex might have given away her cover and let her immunity to spells show, but it was a gamble. Could there be certain spells the immunity couldn't count for? Dark spells? Spells at such close range? It was too risky so she paused.

"No Diggory to save you now." He said. "I would suggest lowering your wand."

"Okay, fine." She set it down on the desk and held up her arms. "So... what now? I'm not going with you."

"We could be persuaded to leave your school friends mostly unharmed. Of course Potter is out of the question, but your mudblood friend and your siblings." He sneered.

"And why should I believe a single thing you say?"

"You can come see for yourself." He prodded her with her wand.

"Can I at least bring my wand? I'll keep it in its sheath." He reached out and took it, before pushing her out.

A/N- sorry for the late post. Oop, so Griffiths is back. He literally keeps cropping up and taking me by surprise lmao. Anyways hope you enjoyyy.

Favourite line is "Looks like you're at a disadvantage then, because I have no trouble harming you."
