baby with low pain tolerance

"i have a meeting to go to, don't burn down the apartment, don't dont stupid." semi said before grabbing his car keys and leaving.

"no promises." you said and lifted ollie into your arms.

"y/n."

"at least i'm telling the truth." you said and sat down on the couch with your feet propped on the coffee table.

you've avoided hajime for about a week now and you weren't sure how much longer you could.

you missed him

not exactly in a romantic way, more of just him and his presence. him in general.

"what's wrong?" ollie whimpered and placed a paw on the couch. you let him down on the floor and he ran to his squeaky toy.

you grabbed a leash and attached the hook to ollie's collar. "let's go." you said and opened the door. "we're going on a walk." ollie ran out the door and you locked the door behind you.

"reiji!" hajime shouted.

"what!"

"where's the closet convenient store?"

"down the street!" hajime grabbed his jacket and keys before leaving.

he walked down the street where reiji told him and looked up at the sky. it was around sunset and the sky was a pretty orange, pink color.

he was about to enter the store when he saw you standing with your back to him. in front of you there was a guy that was taller than you was talking to you.

you leaned down and pet the dog that was attached to a leash. he was guessing it was someone you saw on the steeet and then stopped to pet their dog.

you've done it many times before with him

"..anks kiyoshi.." was all he heard from the conversation.

"iwa?" you asked when you saw the familiar hair and eyes.

"what happened to hajime?" he asked quietly.

"what are you doing here?" you walked closer to him, but kept your distance.

"snacks." he said. "you?"

"same." he held the door open for you and you walked inside. neither of you talked to each other and you got everything picked out.

"see you around." you said to hajime before leaving. he looked at your retreating figure before finishing getting his own items.

you made your way down the street while admiring the sunset. it was a bit darker now. the pink turning into a light red.

behind you, hajime exited the store and saw two guys trailing not to far behind you. you were walking, noy noticing them and they were about to catch up to you.

"oh come on." he said to himself and rushed forward. he grabbed each guy by the collar and dragged them into the alley way.

you heard a slight grunt and turned around, seeing nothing there. you turned back around and walked forward after not hearing anything else.
