one and a half years later
hiro is two almost three
kyo is one and a half

"so we were thinking of adopting." makki told you and you tore your eyes away from kyo who was flipping through a baby book that made farm animals when he pressed a button.

when he first used the book, he pressed on the rooster button and cried when the loud sound of the rooster flew out of the book without warning.

"a boy or girl?" you were sitting in the living room with kyo and makki while mattsun, hajime, and hiro were outside.

"i don't mind. i just want a kid that we can call our child." he sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "and i want the way that kyo and hiro look at you and iwaizumi. with this pure look of admiration and love and knowing that they love the two of you more than anyone else."

right on time, kyo pushed himself off the floor and walked over to you. he climbed into your lap and showed you his book.

"see." makki lifted his hand up and gestured to you and kyo. "i want a bond with my kid like the bond you have with yours."

"makki!" hiro ran into the house at full speed and held up a small collection of flowers. the dinosaur hat he loved so much was still on his head and he was wearing overalls with a dinosaur printed on one of the pockets. "look, look, look!" he flew into the couch and the stood up.

"shoes." hiro looked down at his shoes and started to yank them off his feet which then resulted in him taking off both his socks and shoes.

"sorry, mommy." he tossed his shoes onto the floor and kicked the spot where his shoes just were. he handed a flower to makki who thanked him and then jumped off the couch and climbed onto the couch next to you.

"fower." kyo reached out his hand and hiro placed a yellow flower into his little brother's hand. kyo held onto the flower like it was the most fragile thing in the world and made sure not to drop it.

"hey." hajime walked into the house with mattsun in tow. he leaned down and pressed a kiss to your forehead before hauling kyo up into his arms.

the one year old let out a gasp and protectively held onto his flower. hajime pretended to drop him and kyo let out a even louder gasp. "i'll never drop you, buddy." he said and hoisted kyo higher on his hip.

hiro took the opportunity and slid closer to you, handing you a purple flower. you thanked him and wrapped your arm around him so he could lean against you.

"so, did he tell you?" mattsun asked and nodded over to makki.

"yeah. i think it's cool you guys want to adopt a kid. that kid will need a lot of energy to keep up with you two though." hajime caught the flower that kyo let go of before it dropped onto hiro's head.

"boy or girl?" hajime asked and looked down at you. you looked right back at him and raised your eyebrow. you weren't pregnant, but knew that you two did want to have another baby again.

"dunno. either one." mattsun plopped down next to makki and had one arm around his shoulders. "but we thought now would be a cool time cause, one, we want a kid. two, you two are in the middle of baby making so we thought why not adopt a kid so they can grow up with your kids."
