Pea and I walk into Pops and my eyes fall on Archie and Dad sitting in our booth and the tears form in my eyes as my dad stands up
"Come here." My dad says before I engulf him in a hug and let out a stifled sob
"What's wrong?" My dad asks before pecking the top of my head
"She's just emotional." Pea says
"Here, sit with me." My dad says as I release him and wipe away my tears before sliding into the left side of the booth and Pea sits down on the other side with Archie
"Come here." My dad whispers before throwing his arm over my shoulders and pulling me into his side
"Let me guess, Strawberry for Archie, Chocolate for Sweet Pea, Chocolate for Fred, and Strawberry with extra whip cream for Cam?" Pop asks with a smile
"Yeah, Pop. Thank you." I say with a sniffle
"You're breakin my heart, I'm gonna do extra extra whip cream." Pop says with a wink before walking away from our table
"So, the Lodges want me to run for Mayor in a special election. What do you think?" My dad asks me
"Haven't you always dreamed of being the Mayor?" I ask with a smile and he nods his head in response
"No offense to Mayor McCoy but I think you'd make a way better Mayor than her." I say
"I think you could do a lot for this town." I add as Pop Tate returns with our milkshakes
"Gosh, Pop, when you say extra extra you mean it." I say with a smile as I pull my milkshake towards
"You're smiling again, aren't ya?" He asks with a smile before walking away from us
