FP's 50th

Camryn's POV

"Here's the deal, Archie. I checked with my dad, I pulled all the files on Warden Norton after he committed suicide, and I cleared out his office, and I found this." Jug says before pulling out an evidence bag from his pocket that has a quest card in it

"A quest card. 'Kill the Red Paladin.' Like the one Ricky had." Archie says

"These two cards are identical. That's the same design, same card stock. To me, that indicates that someone printed out multiple 'Kill the Red Paladin' cards, put them out into the world." Jug says

'We need to find out who." I say

"I know where to start." Archie says

-The Next Morning-

"Today, the Serpents start a new chapter. You're no longer outlaws, you're law keepers, which is why I've got Tom Keller here to help. He is the best damn sheriff Riverdale's ever had." FP says

"Thanks, FP, that's quite an introduction. Um, a lot of what we'll be doing over the next couple of months will be like basic training. Each junior deputy will be paired with an officer who will mentor them." Mr. Keller says

"Jughead, boy, you're riding with me." FP says

-Later That Afternoon-

"And you believe Hiram?" Jug asks

"I do. He says he gave out twelve Quest Cards." Archie says

"Well, he's nothing if not thorough." Jug syas

"Okay, so that means there could be as many as ten cards still in play, and that means we need to figure out how to track them and whoever's holding them down." Betty says before Archie pulls out a folded up piece of paper from his jacket

"Yeah, Mr. Lodge gave me a list of places his dealers used to go to, where G and G players congregate." Archie says as he unfolds the paper and hands it to Jug

"Suds laundromat, innuendo...these places are all nearby. I say we check them out, starting with the comic book shop. See if we can tap into Riverdale's gaming network." Betty says before handing the list back to Archie

"And so continues our nerdiest mystery yet." Jug says

*20 Minutes Later*

"Princess Faye, it's your roll. But you're down five hit points and the hellhounds are gaining on--" The game master at the comic book shop starts but he's cut off by us walking into the room

"You're not allowed back here. This is a sacred space. Sheath your sword, Game Master. Just here to ask some questions." Jug says

"Sorry to interrupt your game, but, uh, we're here because of this." Betty says as she holds up the Quest Card

"Do you recognize it?" Archie asks

"Yes. And we know who you are. That quest is in play here." The Game Master says

"Yeah, well, take your shot, then." Archie says as he steps forwards

"Who gave it to you?" I ask

"The King." The Game Master says

"The Gargoyle King came here? To the back room of a comic book store?" Betty asks

"One of his disciples delivered the Quest Card for him. He wore a mask. Didn't say much." The Game Master says

"Well, was he delivering Fizzle Rocks?" Jug asks

"Who has the card now, one of you?" Archie asks

"No one in this room." The Game Master says
