I walked up to Miles and the 'priest', which was just another member of the gang who was going to read the vows. As I walked along the river, I spotted Owen hiding off to the side.
When I walked past Marcus, I told him, "Have fun in hell."
He glared at me, but didn't say anything.
Just as I stopped next to Miles, chaos erupted. Devan jumped out of nowhere and fired one shot.
Marcus fell dead.
The few people who had been there ran away. And just like I had predicted, Miles turned to me, so I quickly took out my knife and stabbed him in the chest.
That's when Owen ran out. He went to his family and told them to follow him. They went running and I turned around to see where Devan was.
He was standing over Marcus' body, staring at me, his gun held up, his eyes locked on mine. When I realized what he was going to do, I tried to turn and run.
But then he shot me.
