hueningkai: "Leftover spaghetti."
y/n: (smiles) "Me, too."
taehyun: (clears throat) "Delivery for [y/n]."
hueningkai: Shoot me now.
y/n: "T-Taehyun..."
taehyun: "I went to In-n-Out. Figured you might want some."
cousin: "How thoughtful."
y/n: "Thank you..."
taehyun: (laughs) "Hueningkai, what did that meatball ever do to you?"
hueningkai: "Huh?"
taehyun: "You're, like, stabbing it to death."
soobin: "It's a hand exercise."
taehyun: "It is?"
soobin: "I'm surprised you've never heard of it. It's called... you know...the...."
y/n: "...the bayonet stretch."
soobin: "Yes, the bayonet stretch. Usually people use clay but meatballs work just as effectively."
taehyun: "Weird, but okay. [y/n], enjoy the lunch."
y/n: "Thanks."
[TAEHYUN leaves]
cousin: (whispers) "Is that a real stretch?"
y/n: "No."
cousin: "Can I have some of the fries?"
y/n: "Also no."
hueningkai: (blurts) "I met someone."
(silence)
y/n: "What?"
hueningkai: "On Ideal."
cousin: "Shut up. Are you serious?"
hueningkai: "Dead serious."
cousin: "Well, don't stop there. Tell us. Who are they?"
hueningkai: "I don't know yet, but they seem pretty cool."
cousin: "I'm glad you finally caved in! I'm telling you, whoever created the app for our school is a genius."
soobin: "Thanks."
cousin: "What?"
soobin: "I just meant, thanks for making me lose hope in written correspondence ever triumphing over digital conversations."
cousin: "Don't get me wrong, I'd still take a handwritten note over a text any day."
soobin: "You would?"
cousin: "Of course. There's more meaning to it. Plus, it's more personalized. Their handwriting, how hard they pressed the pen against the page to the point where you can feel the indentations in the paper."
soobin: "You've given this a lot of thought."
cousin: "Sure have."
soobin: "Then why do you still use Ideal?"
cousin: "Because it's more accessible and easier to be anonymous."
soobin: "So, if there was a way that the app could do handwritten notes instead..."
cousin: "It'd be even better. But it can't, so I'm stuck with typing."
y/n: "Do you like them?"
cousin: "Me?"
y/n: "No, Hueningkai. Do you like who you're talking to?"
hueningkai: "It's too soon to tell, but it could become a reality."
y/n: "Oh."
hueningkai: "Maybe we can go on a double date. Me and them, you and Taehyun."
