Is there a God?
Philosophers can't answer.
A priest can answer, but only because he believes.
I asked my parents, "Is there a God?"
They said, "Only if you believe in Him,
Or Her,
Or It."I don't believe in wishes from fountains,
I don't believe in blowing away
The puff of a dandelion.
I don't believe in birthday wishes.
Because none of them came true.I prayed to God last night,
A last-ditch effort to make me sleep,
To make me have just one happy dream.
I haven't had a good night's sleep for years now.
I prayed that I wouldn't wake up earlier than normal,
Or go to bed super late,
Or have a nightmare that makes me scream,
Not that anyone could hear me.I laid my head on the pillow.
I stared out my window.
I didn't fall asleep.
And when I did,
I was awakened by my own screams
