I'm leaving soon.
My main character moment is happening.
I'm leaving this godforsaken town
To the bright lights of the city
And good riddance. The library is too small,
The coffee shop too expensive,
And the high school down the road
Has too many reminders of old me.Why did you say that to me?
I was ready to be unrequited,
A relationship never to be,
A love forgotten until I see my yearbook again.I wish I never liked anyone.
I wish I never felt this heartache which is
To familiar for all my age.
I wish you didn't say that you liked me back.
I wish I never told you I liked you
I wish I never went into your car
And I wish I never panicked
And I wish wish wish
That I can just forget and we can
Go back to being firm as friends.Because I'm leaving,
We're leaving
In two weeks. This can never happen.
But God,
I wish I could kiss you just this once.
