i'm finally human once more

Look at me,
With red cheeks and laughing so hard I'm crying.
He made me laugh so hard
And she made me snort
Sending us all into a tirade of giggles.
The others are staring at us from their card game
And the college girls that I love are asleep from food and bowling.
It's 1 am, and we're still in hysterics.
I love them.
Not romantically,
Platonically.
And that's the best love, in my opinion.
Because they don't expect anything of me
Except to show my true feelings
And now I'm learning how to.
They invite me to stuff and I join
And I laugh and I play games and I smile and I cry and I'm human near them.
I absolutely love all of them.
The card players go back to their game.
I wipe the tears out from under my eyes,
As do the rest of my laughing, guffawing friends.
What a coincidence, we're all in glasses.
The boy's girlfriend moves from the couch to my lap,
Wanting to be included and wanting cuddles.
I give both attention and snuggles.
We continue our own game, smiles and random giggles
From remembering past jokes.
And I feel human once more.
