Chapter 3

Ilang Linggo ang nakalipas ay medyo busy na kami dahil sa mga group activities and some assessments. May assessment kami nung isang Linggo baka ngayon ang release ng scores.

Kakatapos lang ng break namin at ako naman ay pabalik na sa classroom. Nang makapasok ako sa loob ay nakita ko si Lucas na nakaupo kung saan yung upuan nila Gwen. He was talking to Gwen and Xyrus.

They were the only ones in the room. The three of them were laughing. Ewan ko kung nag-uusap-usap ba sila about sa mga activities o ano. Magka-grupo kasi silang tatlo doon sa activity namin na nag-iinterview kami ng mga students sa campus.

Nang makita nila ako ay nanahimik sila at hininaan ang boses. Wala akong imik at pumunta sa upuan ko para umupo. Doon pa rin kung saan ako nakaupo nung first day dahil inarrange yung seat namin alphabetically, so basically katabi ko pa rin si Lucas.

Napalayo nga lang sila Jade sa akin.

"Hi." I heard Lucas say, then he sat beside me.

"Bakit ka nandito?" I asked.

His brows furrowed, "This is my seat?" he asked back.

"No, I mean bakit mo sila iniwan doon." I cleared it up.

"'cause you're here already," he murmured.

"What? It wasn't clear. Why are you murmuring?" I asked.

Bigla naman kasing humina boses niya, so how am I supposed to understand?

"I said, it's almost time na..." paglilinaw niya sa sagot niya. My lips formed an 'o' then I just nodded.

Ilang minuto pa ay nag sidatingan na rin ang ibang kaklase namin at ang facilitator namin.

"Good afternoon, HUMMS-12A." Masayang pagbati ni Sir Medina.

"Good afternoon, sir." We all greeted each other.

"Before we start with the lecture, I just want to congratulate your section for achieving 94% for your summative last meeting." he paused, because of the cheers he's getting. Of course everyone was happy. "And before I return your papers, I want to congratulate these two students who got a perfect score." he said, which surprised everyone.

The room was filled with silence, everyone was tense. Kahit ako medyo kinabahan. Ewan ko ba bakit ako kinakabahan.

"Mr. Valer and Ms. Villamor, congratulations to the two of you." he said.

Everyone started applauding. Tumayo si Lucas at inantay niya akong makatayo para sabay namin makuha ang paper namin. He even lent me his hand so he could help me to stand up. Everyone started cheering and congratulating us.
