"Wohoo, eighteen!" Jade was cheering while we were sitting in her condo's living room, wearing our lingerie. Charot. We were wearing a onesie.
I'm wearing a fox onesie, Reece was a ladybug, and Jade was a penguin. Naglalaro kami habang nag-aantay. Yung cards na bubunot ka tapos kung ano yung question or dare doon gagawin namin. Kapag hindi ginawa syempre may consequence.
Eleven pa lang naman, halos isang oras pa kaming mag-aantay.
"Oh, call someone you like and talk to them for three minutes." sabi sa akin ni Reece.
Yun kasi yung nasa card na nabunot ko. I sneered, "Pano kapag wala akong gusto?" I asked back, playing safe.
Alangan naman kasi tawagan ko si Lucas sa harap nila diba.
Their brows furrowed, "Sus, dali na." sabay pa nilang sabi.
I sighed, sounding defeated. I took my phone from the center table. I opened my Instagram and opened the conversation of Lucas and I.
Their eyes widened as they squeaked. 'Di ko nga alam kung sasagutin pa ba 'to ni Lucas anong oras na kaya. I pressed the call button. Call lang naman walang video.
Pinatahimik ko silang dalawa dahil baka marinig sila ni Lucas. Ilang minuto pa ay nagulat ako ng sumagot siya. Yung dalawa naman halos talon ng talon, pinipigilan ang sarili nila na mag ingay.
Grabe, mas kinikilig pa sila kesa sa akin.
"Hmm... why did my girl call? Miss me? Hmm?" he asked.
Agad naman kumunot ang noo ko at sila Jade tinakpan ang bibig nila habang hinahampas ang unan sa lapag.
"Huh? Sino ka?" I asked, pretending I called the wrong person.
I heard him chuckle, "Babe, don't pretend like you called the wrong person." he said.
Babe. Babe. Babe.
"Who's 'babe'?" I questioned him.
"Ikaw," he laughed, "I'm kidding, but, anyway... Why did you call? Do you need help with something?"
"No, no, no. Napindot lang, I was chatting with a friend kasi tapos nag lag." pagdadahilan ko.
He chuckled again, "Hmm... okay. Have a great night with your friends. I'll see you tomorrow, gorgeous."
I was too stunned to speak, sa boses niya at sa mga pinagsasabi niya. Argh! Kahit sila Reece nagulat.
"A-Ah... yeah. Goodnight."
"Goodnight, Nat. Happy Birthday... in advance." he greeted that made my heart thump.
