Chapter 22

It's Sunday and I'm at the publishing company signing the contract.

I kinda expected her reaction already. I decided to publish the first standalone I wrote after the few years I stopped.

It was the book I wrote when Lucas convinced me to start writing again, so I really treasure that book.

And thank you rin po for your offer, this is my childhood dream."

"It's our pleasure to be part of making your dream come true." tugon niya at ngumiti sa akin. We talked more about the things that need to be done in publishing. "We'll be communicating with you through email." she explained.

I'll be signing the first batch of the books. There's a high demand for signed copies. I also posted an announcement on my social media accounts about the publishing, so those who want to buy physical copies would be aware.

"Thank you, ma'am." I thanked her, offering my hand to shake hands. She did accept it then I remembered one thing. "Erm, about the 'about the author' it's fine if we don't need to include my face there, right?" I questioned.

"Oh, of course." she said. "But there will be some book signing events, ma'am." she reminded me.

Right. I don't really have a problem with showing my face, or maybe I could wear a mask. But I do think that it's better if I don't have to. In the writing industry, there will be a lot of authors and people to interact with. Maybe, this is my sign to start being professional.
