Chapter Thirty-Five

(Final Chapter)

Paris' POV

I ran the straightener through my hair, but my hands couldn't stop shaking. I can't believe the girls are making me do this.

I stepped out of the bathroom and looked at the girls, waiting to hear if I was approved or not. They were all smirking, so I'll take that as a yes.

"Have fun, babe!" Rae called to me as I grabbed my keys and headed for the door.

I rolled my eyes, "Shut up."

I shut the door behind me and jogged down the stairs. My car was in the underground lot, so I had to go all the way to the bottom floor.

I got into my Mini, which I loved. It was my biggest money purge, and it looked exactly like the one from Austin Powers.

I pulled out of the lot, and started my drive to the airport. I sang along to the Fray song on the radio, and my eyes kept glancing at the clock. It looks like I'll be there just in time.

I parked in the airport car lot, and got out, running towards the airport. I looked around for the gate that Rae said they would be at, and finally spotted it on the other side of the giant, crowded space. A large crowd of people were filtering out of the doors, which meant that the lads might already be gone.

I sprinted anyway, going as fast as I could in leather boots, which was surprisingly fast. I finally spotted Harry at the back of the clump, who was closely followed by Niall, Zayn, and Liam. My eyes skimmed the crowd, but the doors closed, and I still didn't see Louis.

Harry spotted me first, and waved. He jogged over to where I stood, a grin on his face.

"Rae told me why you're here," he said immediately, "Thank fucking god. He hasn't shut up for the past two weeks. It kind of made our time in America sucky."

"Where the hell is he?" I snapped.

"He should be coming. I think they closed the doors on him, though."

As if on cue, the gate doors opened, and Louis walked out. He had his head down as he walked, but I grinned.

When he finally looked up, his eyes widened in shock as he noticed me immediately. He grinned and opened his arms wide.

I sprinted towards the Doncaster boy, and we embraced. He lifted me off my feet, spinning me around, before my feet touched the floor again. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a couple of people watching us with smiles on their faces. I had a smile on my face too. I had no idea how much I loved the way Louis' arms felt around my thin body until now.

I cupped his face in my hands and pressed my lips to his. I didn't care if he pulled away. I didn't care if he didn't like me back. I just needed to kiss him again, to find out.

Louis didn't pull away. Instead, he pulled me closer and deepened the kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled into the kiss. My heart was beating hard in my chest, but I loved it. I loved the light feeling in my stomach as I savored the taste of his lips. But of course, the lack of oxygen forced us apart.

"That was a brilliant thing to come home to," Louis said, and I grinned.

"I thought so."

"I thought you didn't believe in love?" Louis questioned.

"I didn't, but things can change," I said with a shrug.

Louis raised an eyebrow, "Why the change of heart?"

"It was the girls," I told him, "They made me run out on girls night."

"Well, it might just be the best. We've been hugging for a whole three minutes, and you haven't made any move to kick me in the balls."

I laughed, "Well, the day is young."

Louis laughed, but I went semi-serious for a moment, "You know, if we DO decide to make something out of this, the teasing isn't going to stop," I told him, "The pranks won't end either. It won't be any different than it has been, aside from the fact that I don't hate you."

Louis pecked my lips, "And I can do that."

I laughed and nodded, "And you can do that. But I hope you don't think I'm going to change because of this. I mean, you're still the boy I hated throughout grade school. Even if I like you now."

Louis pecked my lips again, "I wouldn't have it any other way."

I grinned and just held Louis close, my face buried in his neck. I can't believe how all of this has happened. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was ready to kill this boy, and now I didn't want to let him go. It's been one crazy tour, which had its ups and downs. There were laughs, tears, and a lot of drama, but all in all, it had to be the best one yet.

I was afraid of love, but now I'm not. I know that even if I get hurt, and even if Louis isn't the one, I'll know that love DOES exist. I'll know that I shouldn't give up, and that I can be happy.
