Chapter Six

Rae's POV

An alarm clock woke me from my sweet dreams, and my eyes snapped open. I yawned and sat up groggily, looking at the time. Damn 14 hour flight. We had to wake up at five in the morning, after going to bed at 2.

I fell back onto my pillow and closed my eyes, trying my best to stay awake, but falling back into sleep easily.

I shivered, and my eyes slowly opened. I felt a foot on my back, which roughly pushed me off the bed. I hit the ground with a thump and whined.

"We're going to miss our flight because of you!" Charlotte snapped angrily. Paris was suddenly shoved off her bed as well, landing next to me. She groaned, rubbing her head and grumbling some colorful words.

I was hit in the face with balled up jeans and a white t-shirt, followed by a Jack Wills hoodie.

"Put these on!" Charlotte demanded, "We need to go in ten minutes! Today is going to have to be a ponytail day!"

I picked myself up off the floor and stripped down. The girls and I don't feel self conscious around each other, which makes changing faster.

I pulled on the clothes and pulled my curly hair back into a ponytail. Paris pulled on red track pants and a white jumper, putting her hair in a messy bun.

I zipped my suitcase up and followed Charlotte out to the hallway. Charlotte, Natalie, and Callie were dressed similar to Paris and I. Travel days for Status Single were usually comfy trousers and jumper days.

Callie looked like death; since she was probably between the wasted period and the hangover stage. Natalie wasn't AS bad, but not much better.

"Are we ready to go, girls?" Rob asked, and we nodded.

We trudged down the hall soundlessly, trying not to wake anybody in the rooms around us. There was a car waiting outside, and we piled in.

"I'm excited to go home," Charlotte said, "It's too...busy in America."

"Oh, because London is so much better?" I pointed out.

Charlotte shrugged, "At least we can join the business in London."

Paris nodded, "True."

"Turn it off!" Callie whined.

I raised an eyebrow, "Turn what off?"

"The talking! Turn it off!"

I stifled a laugh, but listened to the Irish girl. The ride to the airport was silent after that, which meant thinking for me. One Direction popped into my head, and I rolled my eyes. They're a clean-cut boy band with a hell of a lot of sass. They've got five members, and a competitive attitude. Well, Status Single has all of that too, except with girls. We can beat them to #1.

"Rae-Rae?" Paris called. I looked up to see the other girls grabbing their suitcases out of the trunk. I slowly crept out of the car and grabbed my own, before following the flow of people into the airport.

"RAE ASPEN!" a voice screamed, and my head snapped to a small group of girls that were running up to me.

"Oh my god, we're huge fans!" another girl gushed.

I noticed they were staying about three feet away from me. I smiled at their shyness, and walked closer.

"Hey, it's nice to meet you," I said.

The third girl squeaked in shock, and I smiled.

"We watched the VMA's last night," the first girl said, "You looked amazing!"
