Draco POV:

The kiss if you can even call it that, was amazing. I didn't want to agree to tell Dumbledore everything but the glimmer in Harry's eyes and the way they lit up when I did agree was worth it. The way he held me made me feel protected.

Maybe even loved.

All I wanted was to walk with Harry hand in hand forever. So much so I had forgotten exactly where we were going until we stood outside the entrance to Dumbledores office. My hand around Harry's tightened as we approached.

He gave me a reassuring squeeze and a smile. Harry could do wonders with just that smile. My heart gave a little flutter and I squeezed back. Harry announced the password which made the passage reveal itself.

Without a glance behind us, Harry dragged me by the hand up the long spiraling stairs. I was almost glad for the push because I was sure as hell wasn't going to do it alone. Once we landed on the platform Harry took it upon himself to knock at the door and I reluctantly released his hand. He gave me a quick glance before the heavy oak door opened to reveal the Headmaster in light grey robes.

"Harry, Draco I've been expecting you." Dumbledore narrated as he motioned behind him to a pot of tea and some biscuits. I was notably stunned by the Headmaster's all-knowing nature but Harry didn't seem at all fazed. Instead, he went right in and plopped down in one of the chairs, then taking a biscuit.

The Gryffindor glanced back at me giving me an odd expression, almost like he was confused that I didn't know to do this. Professor Dumbledores voice came again and this time I did not hesitate to take the seat beside Harry. The chair that I was sitting in looked like a spare, not nearly as fancy as the one Harry was sitting in. It looked more rundown. The polish and upkeep were far behind its superior beside it which was in fantastic condition. Not that  I minded. Well not that much.

"Now if I am not mistaken you have something to tell me Draco," Dumbledore spoke as he walked around his desk. His fingers trailed the corner as he looked at me and sat down in his grand chair. All words escaped me and my hands resorted to picking at the fabric of the chair I was sat on.

"I find, Draco, that it is easier, to tell the truth when all possible lies are ridden from the mind," Dumbledore said and then passed the bowl of biscuits to me in an offering. I took one tentatively but relaxed almost immediately.

"It's.... it's my father. He told me of some plans in the summer. He said that the Dark Lord was going to stay in our ho-manor and give me the mark." I faltered. In no way did I want to call Malfoy manor a home. It was a cruel and terrible place for a home. "My mother-she was so scared. She cried and cried and I couldn't help her." I choked on my own voice. Failing to make any other words leave my mouth.

"Professor, I think the Order should protect them. You told me about some safe-houses and that would be perfect to keep them safe." Harry stated. Dumbledore however did not look entirely convinced but then again it was hard to tell with him.

"Are you sure about this?" The Professor asked with a strange essence of calm which made me a bit uneasy. I had no idea which one of us he was talking to so I just let Harry answer.

"Of course Professor. Draco needs help and this is the best way for him to get it!"

"I appreciate the sentiment Harry but I was speaking to Draco. I ask once more. Are you sure about this?" Dumbledore asked again this time his eyes were trained on me, making me squirm.

"Trust me. I wish I wasn't." I said bitterly and I felt Harry's hand come on top of mine beneath the desk. Hidden out of view.

The Headmaster gazed at me for a few more seconds, his eyes pierced mine and I felt his judgment lay heavily on my shoulders. It's not that I like Dumbledore but he was an influential man. And that same influential man was now also in charge of my fate.

"I will see what I can do. But in the meantime, this must be kept in complete secrecy." Both me and Harry nodded our heads. We interpreted this as some kind of dismissal and moved to leave.

"I see the two of you have become quite close," Dumbledore commented offhandedly. His attention now directed away from us.

"What are you talking about Professor?" Harry asked and I felt tense.

"Oh, nothing." The Headmaster had a glint in his eyes that looked like laughter.
