02. back with you

nini laid back in her plain seat as she looked out the window, letting out an exhausted sigh as she took out her earphones, seeing the lights that illuminated los angeles further below

a smile played on her lips as she thought of seeing her boyfriend again after two months of living off of scheduled facetime calls and texts that were snuck whenever she could. she couldn't wait to be in his arms again; her heart practically exploded just at the thought of seeing him again.

jenn stirred in the seat next to nini, still fast asleep but nini dreaded having to wake her up in a few minutes, so she just looked back at the window, resting her head against her seat.

"okay, nini you have everything right?" jenn asked as they walked down the stairs of the jet, nini nodding

"you asked five seconds ago jenn, i have it all." nini laughed lightly, jenn keeping a stern look with her eyes glued to the phone

"alright, well-"

"nini!"

the brunette girl looked up and squealed in excitement when she saw her frizzy-haired best friend run towards her, nini running in her direction before bringing her into a hug

"oh my god i missed you!" gina exclaimed over her shoulder

nini laughed and pulled away "i missed you too gi. how was filming?"

gina faked a hair toss with a smirk "awesome as usual."

nini shook her head with a smile before looking around, not seeing a sign of the curly-haired boy

"benjamin didn't want him coming to the airport..." gina explained, seeing nini frown slightly "but-i'm sure you'll get to see him tomorrow." she smiled

nini put on a small smile as she nodded "yeah."

she couldn't deny that she was disappointed, but at the same time, she wasn't at all surprised that her boyfriend's manager didn't want him to come see her at the airport. it was too risky of them being seen. her and ricky had strict rules to follow when it came to their relationship and even though they didn't love it, they knew it was best for both their careers and the rules were nothing when it compared to how much they loved and wanted to be together.

nini turned back around to see jenn on the phone, signaling that she was leaving and being responded with a thumbs up before gina helped her with her suitcases as the two made their way out towards the security

it was dark out so it meant not too many fans came up to them to ask for autographs or photos, which in this case was good because all nini wanted was to go home after a long day of traveling.

they both got into the car and gina instantly bombarded her friend with questions

"okay, so how was england? paris? greece-"

nini shook her head with a smile before she took a deep breath "it was all amazing. my first european tour and it was literally like a dream."

"many more to come," gina winks, making nini laugh

"hope so,"

when they arrived at nini's apartment, gina rolled down the window as nini took her suitcases, the brunette girl saying thank you and a 'see you later' to gina before making her way up the apartment complex

nini frustratedly pushed her way through her apartment door, which was easier said that done when having to carry her two suitcases along with two carry-on bags.

she sighed as she turned around to close her door before a voice made her jump and turn around swiftly

"need some help?"

nini opened her mouth as she let out a breath of surprise when she saw the curly-haired boy standing in her kitchen doorway with his hands buried in his pockets, a grin on his face as he looked at her.

it took her no longer than a split second to drop her bags and run towards him, jumping in his arms as he stumbled back with a light laugh before twirling her around.

"i missed you." she whispered over his shoulder, burying her face in the crook of his neck as he hugged her back tightly

"i missed you too." he replied

ricky put her back down on the ground, his arms around her waist as she kept hers around his neck

"hi." he smiled softly

nini giggled as she looked back up at him "hi."

he leaned in to bring their lips together, the girl kissing him back slowly before he pulled away and intertwined their fingers together and took the little bouquet of flowers that were sitting on the shelf next to them

"these are for you,"

nini beamed at him as she took them into her hands "i love them," she says before looking back up and giving him a quick kiss "thank you."

he nodded and she wrapped her arms around him once again, the two pulling each other into another embrace after being apart for two months. finally together again.
