nini set the phone against the stand on her keyboard before she pressed record, taking a deep breath and tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear
"hi, you guys!" she beamed with a warm smile "i'm coming online and doing this video because-i feel like you all deserve an explanation as to everything crazy that's happened-"
"hey neens, you want orapple juice? i mixed orange and apple juice together, it's actually not that bad." ricky's voice boomed as he entered the living room with a grin before looking at the brunette girl who was glancing back at him "hey, what are you doing?"
nini shook her head with a smile, reaching to stop the recording and turning her phone off "nothing."
"really?" he asked with a raised eyebrow
the girl looked at the cup in his hand "is that the 'orapple' juice?" she asked with a smirk, turning in her seat to face him properly
ricky nodded "it's actually good."
nini took the cup from his hand as she sipped a bit of the drink, humming in approval with a nod as ricky looked at her
"i know right?"
she giggled with him before continuing to drink the juice
"hey, i was going to ask you something..." ricky began quietly, sitting down next to her
nini looked back at him slightly worried as she knit her eyebrows, putting the cup down on the table "what's wrong?"
"why would you think-"
"you're fiddling with your fingers." she pointed out "you're nervous. what's wrong?"
ricky took a deep breath, swallowing nervously "okay...i was thinking, since we've been-"
the loud sound of nini's ringtone interrupts him, the girl sighing frustratedly as she gave him an apologetic look before taking the phone
"it's jenn." she told him, ricky exhaling "i'll call her later-"
"no, answer it." he said with a smile "i'll-i'll tell you later."
nini nodded hesitantly before answering the phone "hi, jenn."
"nini," jenn began "me and benjamin decided on a meeting for this afternoon. we'll talk about interviews to schedule and how to hash out any drama or rumors-"
"wait, how many drama and rumors are there?" nini asked suddenly
"not many, but they're slowly growing." jenn said in slight worry "we'll talk about it later, though. five pm."
"wait um-will lily be there?" ricky asked
nini whipped her head to look at ricky, not ignoring how he avoided her gaze by keeping his eyes on the phone in her hand
"yes, we contacted zack. he's a little angry..." jenn said
ricky nodded before he took a deep breath "i-i'm just going to go check on the food."
nini swallowed before putting a small smile on "um-sure...don't burn anything."
"ha ha," he replied with an eye-roll, walking off towards the kitchen
the girl watched ricky walk off before she took a deep breath and returned her attention to the call
"um-jenn," she began in a lower tone "do you think you could let me post a video? maybe? just of me explaining things that happened and how we shouldn't hate on anyone?"
jenn sighed, going silent for a little while - which nini assumed was her thinking over the idea.
"maybe it'd be a good idea. but i want you to send over the video first so i can check it." jenn replied
nini nodded "okay. thanks. see you later."
she ended the call before exhaling deeply, feeling a little nervous as she set up her phone again while ricky was in the kitchen.
