Chapter 117: Jelly

PERSEUS’ POV

I immediately called Calix after I received his message. Ano bang ibigsabihin nya don?He answered it after a few rang.

“Dude, what do you even mean?!” I exclaimed right after na sagutin nya.

“Wait lang pare naputol paghinga ko, bigla kang sumisigaw ng other language dyan!” hayag naman nya.

I calmed myself a bit, “Kung ano-ano kasi tinetext mo. Make sense naman.”

“Hindi kami nagtitinda non, so pasensya na I can’t make it.” he answered.

Pigil tawa naman si Leica, she probably heard how serious Calix is with his response. Dude doesn’t have a clue.

“Nga pala, asa market kami ngayon. Naglalabas kasi ng stock si Kups tapos nakita daw niya si Ms. Andri na may kasamang lalaki.” tuloy nya.

“Ha? She told me that she’s with the girls. What does he look like?” I asked.

“Hoy Lyliana, ano daw itsura nung lalaki?!” sigaw nya pero dinig ko ang response ni Lyliana sa kabilang linya, magkatabi lang naman siguro sila. “Chinito, tall, mga kasingtandaan lang nyo siguro, maporma, and kind of attractive. Kanina pa sila pauli-uli at patanong-tanong sa shops eh.”

“Pakinig mo ‘yon Englisherong gurang, sana sa’kin na lang si Ms. Andri oh, oh, oh—” rinig ko naman ang paghampas ng kung ano kaya sya napatigil but after that, “Pero seryoso, kung iba naman pala sinabi sayo eh puntahan mo na kaya dito?”

It’s not that I’m not trusting her pero her actions and words are just different these past few days. Ewan ko, sabi pa nga ni Greg baka daw nasa Ice Age lang yung relationship namin.

But thinking back, wala naman siguro akong ginawang mali to make her like that diba? I mean, I really thought that studies are just weighing on her kaya medyo parang she’s not her usual self.

Why though? Sa pagkakakilala ko pa naman sa kanya, she wouldn’t be outside unless super necessary or kung gusto nya lang talaga….or kung gusto nya lang talaga..

“Stop spacing out, Perseus. Puntahan mo na kaya?" Greg told me.

"It's not that we're suspecting my Andromeda, right?" sabi ko naman smiling, silence overtook the place, my smile become smaller as my tone also lowered, "...right?"

Walang nakaimik sa'min. Even Leica can't look at me straightly. May alam ba silang hindi sinasabi sa'kin?

"Anyways, para maclear-up lang. I'll go there. Sorry guys, bawi na lang ako next time." I told them.

"Samahan kita pre?" Greg offers.

"Nah. I can handle it alone." sabi ko, reassuring that I'm okay.

I mean, c'mon it's Andromeda. I trust in her. I believe that we just assume things that aren't really there. Afterall, hindi naman namin alam ang full story.

Sumakay na muli akong kotse at pinuntahan 'yung sinabing market kung saan nakapwesto sina Calix.

They also told me that there's still there and they've already carrying some bags.

Pero why does she need to hide it? Ang dali namang magpaalam na she's going with someone else and told me not to assume things or misunderstood the scenario.

Kaso these past few days…

Madalas na hindi sya nagiging available kapag weekends. Whenever we're out on a date, she always space out. Kung nga dati hindi na nya hilig makipagusap, ngayon mabibilang ko na 'yung words na iniimik nya sa'kin for a week sa sobrang unti.

Pansin ko din na she stutters when I'm asking what's going on? Or kapag tinatanong ko kung ano nagiging lakad nya.

I mind her own privacy so hindi ko na rin masyado kinulit about don.

 I'm starting to overthink things and several stuffs strike my head as I'm driving. Ang hirap naman netong nagdadrive ka tapos mas madami pa sa mga kotseng kasabay mo ang mga bagay na iniisip mo.

When I arrived at the place, I quickly dial Calix' number at sakto namang may sumagot.

"Hello?" a female voice answered. I guess this is Lyliana, "Medyo busy si Calix sa customers kaya ako ang nakabantay. Mukhang palabas sila sa may main entrance."

"Thanks Lyliana." I said tapos ay binabaan ko na din because I already had enough infos to follow them.

Binagalan ko lang ang takbo ng kotse ko para makita ko sila ng maayos and ---

There they are! She's with Hui! That guy!

Napahigpit ang hawak ko sa steering wheel. Shit. I can't just leave the car then confront them because I'll definitely make a scene. Baka mas magalit pa sa akin si Andromeda.

I saw them rode a car. Pinagbukas pa nga ng mokong ng pinto. Mukhang may pinaguusapan din sila habang sumasakay and it sure is making my Andromeda smiles.

I hate this.

Sinundan ko pa sila at hinintay kung titigil sila sa lugar na mas kokonti ang tao para makompronta ko na. Because why is she with Hui? I mean, out of all people? Is that the reason why she lied to me?

Alam nyang di ako papayag pag nalaman kong si Hui pala ang kasama nya and she prolly want to mind the business with Hui only kaya di nya sinabi ang katotohanan.

I was expecting that they were already heading home but they stopped at the public park na hindi kalayuan dun sa may market na pinuntahan nila.

Bumaba si Andromeda, kasunod si Hui. Tinigil ko muna ang kotse ko sa medyo tago pero tanaw pa rin ang lugar nila.

Andromeda sat on a bench and Hui bought an ice cream. Nagkwentuhan pa sila and they both seem like they're enjoying each other's company. 

Summer pala sa kabila kaya pala winter naman ang relasyon namin. Pambihira.
