HELIA'S POV

So many years ago. (Nung nanganak na si Esmeralda)
"Avia are you sure that we need to hide this from her?" nag-aalala kong tanong sa kanya
"Look at the condition of his son, Helia. Sa tingin mo ba makakayanan 'to ni Esme?" she said.
Tiningnan ko ang hawak-hawak kong bata. His cute innocent face makes me want to agree with what Avia said.
"Quickly go to the lab then put the baby inside the place we prepared for him." sabi nya sa akin
"How about Esmeralda?" I asked.
"It's okay. I'll handle her." she said.
Kahit umuulan sige pa rin ako hanggang sa makapunta ako sa laboratory.
Actually, bukod sa pagiging inventor and a science freak. I am also a doctor. Ako pa nga ang nagpaanak kay Esmeralda.
Pinagkakabit ko ang mga tubo at wires na kailangan at saka agad nilagay ang baby sa specialized machine naming ginawa ni Avia.
It's like a life sustainer machine. Ibigsabihin kahit dun ka lang sa machine mabubuhay ka pa rin and growth will still take place.
But there's this situation of the baby, Nag-aagaw buhay sya ng mailabas. It's a premature baby pero parang may ibang kahalong case eh. An unknown and rare case.
It does not respond ng paluin ko ito. It did not cry or move or something. Pero humihinga naman but his breathing is also not normal.
Inahon ko muna saglit tapos
chineck ko ang heartbeating at sobrang bagal nito pero nung maibalik ko sa machine it turns normal.
"What happen?" the pregnant Avia asked.
"His heartbeat turns normal inside the machine. Pero 'pag inaalis ay bumabagal." I said
"What do you think is wrong with him?"
"Well, one possibly cause this is because he is a premature baby but I still don't know the major cause. Sa tingin ko kailangan nating ng ilang taong obserbahan pa sya." I replied.
"What? Pero hindi pwede 'yon. Kailangan rin nya mabuhay ng normal." she said
"But how can we do that Avia? Ha? Ano microchip ganon tapos gagawin nating virtual ha? Well, pwede namang gawin natin yon you're the virtual master after all--"
"You're right Helia! Maybe I can make him a virtual temporarily?" she said cutting off my sentence
"E-ewan ko sayo Avia bahala ka dyan--"
"Look we are doing this for our bestfriend." she said
That's when virtual Perseus has started.
Kung nagtataka kayo kung bakit ayaw naming ibigay kay Esmeralda ang pangangalaga sa baby.
It's because she have this behaviour disorder. Yes, yes. Nagkaroon sya ng brain injury nung bata pa sya and it affects her behaviour.
Yung tipong pwedeng kahit anong oras pwede nyang maisipang pumatay.
Well, she is taking medications. Pero kasi...
Another thing is because of her relationship to her husband. They are always fighting. Well, fixed marriage kasi naman ang kasal nila.
I mean, they never love each other kaya naman lagi na lang silang hirap sa pag-unawa sa isa't isa.
Muntik na nga nya ako dati masaksak because of a small arguement. Buti na lang si Avia always come for the rescue.
If we told her that her son is currently in a near-death situation it might cause her a mental breakdown.
This situation is too much complicated specially in Esmeralda's case, we can't risk it. That's why I'll go stick with Avia's plan.
》》》 Tatlong taon pagkatapos non.
I still continue on observing the little Perseus. I can see the physical changes of Perseus.
Ilang beses ko na rin tinry i-check ang heartbeat nya 'pag wala sa machine but it still the same.
It's like the machine is the only hope for him.
Pinalabas na lang ni Avia na nawala ang anak ni Esmeralda. We can't just told her the truth dahil baka lalong maapektuhan ang pag-iisip nya.
I thought it would be the best idea but there is still a bad thing that happens.
After kasing mangyari 'yung pagkuha namin sa anak nya, she got depressed then her husband left her.
Mas lalong lumala ang behaviour disorder nya kaya naman kailangan nyang mag undergo sa Psycho Therapy and she needs to maintain her mental health healthy.
Baka lalo lang syang mastress pag-nalaman nya ang lahat ng 'to.
Avia and me have decided na saka na lang 'pag totally ayos na ang mental something ni Esmeralda. Saka na namin sasabihin
Well, the virtual girl called 'Bunella' is a big help in her treatment. Hmm medyo nakakalimot na si Esme sa mga pangyayari dahil sa sayang hatid ng virtual girl na yon plus yung mga achievements nya because of it.
》》》 Noong araw ng aksidente.
"Oh my goodness. Kailangan ko ng sunduin si Lluvia." Avia said while wearing her coat.
"But Avia your husband is also going there. Let's just finish our work." sabi ko sa kanya
"Oh. Come on Helia. I rarely sees her because of this work and I also promise that I will come with her Dad to fetch her." she replied
"But how about this?" I said while pointing to the specialized machine to bring back the baby's life
"You can do it, girl. Basta kahit anong mangyari ikaw na ang bahala dito ah. Bye!" she said while waving her hand.
"Ok. Take care." nakangiti kong sabi.
No choice naiwan ako ritong ginagawa ang secondary parts ng machine
Aabutin ng ilang taon ang paggawa nito tapos sasayangin nya pa ngayon ang oras. 5% pa nga lang nagagawa namin.
After 20 mins, I got a call from Avia's Mom. That's when my mind goes upside down.
Hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko. Avia is gone.
》》》MORE YEARS LATER
Perseus turned 16 years old, there's an improvement because sometimes I can now communicate with him through the screen.
It's been 6 years since Avia is gone and me working with this machine. Then there's Perseus who's tasked to keep an eye on Avia's daughter who is also now, 16 yrs. old.
Ni hindi nya alam ang tunay na pangyayari. We decided to keep it a secret to Perseus too.
Hindi nya alam na tunay syang tao non. Nakatatak na sa isip nya na sya ay isang program lang.
It's either we tell it for him to found out or fate let him find it out himself.

Then it just happens, fate really mess it all up.
