chapter 57

Tears were rolling down his eyes as he held the divorce papers in his hand. His hands were shaking. He glanced at Jasmin who was groaning in pain still recovering from the shock wave. She had tears in her eyes too. Closing his eyes tightly Aly breathed heavily and opened his eyes and signed the divorce paper.

Arijit snatched the paper from his and jumped excitedly

Arijit: finally, you are all mine now Jas – he said merrily

Aly sat down knelled down, an emptiness longed on his heart. He did not have the courage to look at her.

Tushar: what do we do with Aly now?

Mr Taneja: kill him

Tushar: what?

Arijit: yes dad kill his, he is useless now?

Mr Taneja: Tushar!!! Would you like to do the job?

Tushar: no sir – he said hesitated

Mr Taneja: leave, I think he deserved to die from my hands

Jasmin: no, Aly , don't hurt him please – she mumbled in pain

Aly was lost in his own land of sorrows, he could not understand what was happening neither did he cared now because he lost himself the very moment he had signed those divorce papers. Jasmin continuously begged them to let Aly go but they ignored her pleading

Mr Taneja took out his gun and pointed at Aly, who was not moving an inch from his place

Mr Taneja: any last words Mr Aly?

Aly just kept numb

Mr Taneja: fine then – he pulled the trigger

And shot........

A gunshot echoed in the empty halls of the deserted mansion.

Jasmin: ALY....... . – she screamed with all her strength

Mr Taneja fell on the floor covered with blood.

Arijit: DAD – he shouted.

Just then a group of police stormed inside the mansion with guns pointed

Police office: hands up you two – he ordered Tushar and Arijit

Two other officers walked forward and arrested Tushar and Arijit, while the other officers first opened Aly's chain and then Jasmin's rope

Mr Taneja was shot in the should so he was unconscious.

As soon as Jasmin was released from the rope she ran towards Aly and hugged his tightly, Aly to reciprocated

Jasmin: I was soo scared

Aly: I am here now, everything is over... . – he consoled her

Jasmin: you know I was so scared when they pointed a gun at you – she said stammering and panicking

Aly: shuu.... It's OK now, relax – he tried calming her

Jasmin: I love you – she said hugging him again

Aly: I love you too – he said hugging her back

The police office approached them

Officer: Mr Aly, now everything is under control

Aly: thank you office for saving us

Officer: never mind thank god our plan worked

Jasmin: what plan?

Aly: while coming here, I called officer and informed about the situation so he asked me to keep the GPS of my phone on so that he could track my location down and come to rescue us

Jasmin: thank you sir

Officer: it's nothing mam!!! We are here for punishing the culprits only

Aly: ahhhhh – he cried in pain as he felt a strong pain in his head

Jasmin: O GOD!!! Your head is bleeding badly, we have to go to the hospital now – she said worried

Office: you both come with me, I will drop you both to the hospital

Jasmin: thank you sir, let's go

Office: yes, come this way

The office took them to the nearby hospital in his car and after an hour treatment in the hospital , Jasmin and Aly returned home.
