4. Co-Captains

Third person (pov)

Bright and Win's teams were practicing for their match

"We win this one and we'll be at an advantage of 2 points over them! " Win said as his team hurdled around

"Alright boys we need to win this we cannot let them win !" Bright announced in his group who all nodded

"I'll take you all out when we win Alright ! Now go team in three ~" Bright added making everyone shout out excited all feeling pumped for the match

"We got this !!" Win said to his own team pumping them up as well

Both the teams doing a group count down before cheering themselves on

Everyone got into their respective positions both bright and win coming to the centre to shake hands

"May the best team win " win said as they shook their hands

"Absolutely !" Bright added

The match was happening after school like usual but there was no audience this time around which did make both the teams a bit confused

Usually whenever these matches happened there would be a bunch of students all around the field cheering them on all excited to see the two rival teams go at it at one another

But today there was no one

"EVERYONE ! GATHER AROUND !" another loud voice boomed across the field making all the boys on the ground look around

Only to find the school coach standing near the benches with a loudspeaker

Both bright and win looked towards one another confused

"ARE YOU ALL DEAF ? I SAID GATHER AROUND ! " The coach said

All the students made a run for it both bright and win standing in the front with their respective teams all gathered behind them

"Yes coach !" Bright said and everyone nodded

"Is everyone here ?" The coach asked

"Yes sir everyone is " win replied and the coach nodded

"Good .. I have an announcement " the coach started pausing to look around

He gulped because if even he's being honest he doesn't want to do this

"We have a full tournament coming up....it's an interstate competition.. our school has been invited to play after years " he announced and everyone started mumbeling amongst themselves all excited

"Silence . " He said making everyone staighten up

"So . From now on there's only going to be one team ! Start preparing !" He said and started to walk out

When both win and bright looked at one another when the realisation struck

"Coach !"

"Coach !"

Both bright win Exclaimed making the coach halt cursing his luck

" Khap nongs ?"

"What's happening exactly ? If there's one team then who's the captain ? " Win asked

"Me obviously Metawin "

"Excuse me. ? My team is at a point advantage for your kind information "

"So ? My team was gonna win today's match anyw~"

"Shut up ! Both of you ! .. the school has been letting you manage your own seperate teams because we know about the whole situation and this seemed like the best solution at the time plus it's not like we were getting included in these tournaments ! Plus having two teams meant that you all were in shape and practicing . So .. we've made a collective decision that you two are going to be Co-Captains "
