For Better or Worse

*Part 40*

Waking up this morning the memories of yesterday came flooding back and I couldn't help the smile that came on my face. Even though yesterday's date was just a simple picnic, it felt like something out of a fairytale. No one has ever gone out of their way to do something like that for me before. Whether or not Ezrah and I get back together, I will forever be grateful for having him in my life and as a father to our kids. In the past, when I dated other guys things would always start great until they found out that I had a son. It was the same line over and over again, that they weren't gonna take on another man's responsibility. When I finally thought that I had found the right one, things were good for a couple of months until they weren't anymore.

I truly believed that he was the one, and then things took a turn for the worst. After that, I never thought that I would find someone to love us both and accept us as a package. That is until I met Ezrah. He's been the best thing that happened to both of us. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to see if I'm in a dream because it feels too good to be true sometimes.

I'm so glad that we didn't let that argument break us but rather we used it to strengthen our relationship. I want this to work just as bad as he does, and I'm willing to do everything in my power to make that happen. And if that means being open to this whole babysitter thing then I'm willing to do that. Due to what we've been through in the past, I've never been open to the idea of anyone watching Ezekiel and now that we have Naveah that's double the worry. But l trust that Ezrah would never put our children in harm's way so if he thinks that this babysitter is the best for the job, I believe him. He was able to set up a meeting with her later today so I'm looking forward to that and hopefully, everything goes well

After finally getting out of bed, I went to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Everyone is still sleeping so I decided to surprise them with a nice big breakfast. Ezrah is usually the one that does most of the cooking so he will definitely be surprised when I prepare this breakfast feast. After brushing my teeth and taking a shower, I put some leave-in conditioner in my hair placed it in a messy bun, and got dressed in some sweats and a tank top. I went into Naveah's room to check if she was awake and to my surprise she was. That girl takes after her father in many ways and one of them is sleeping in which is rare for babies to do, but hey we're not complaining. When I walked into her room she got so excited it melted my heart. Even though I didn't carry her for 9 months she is my daughter and no one can tell me differently, I love her just as much as I love Ezekiel

"Hey mamas baby"

After playing with her for a bit, I gave her a quick bath and dressed her in a cute little onesie. Next up was her hair, I quickly washed it during her bath, and now all I was gonna do was add some castor oil and a cute little bow. After making sure Veah was all set I went to check on Zeke and of course, he was still sleeping. I then took Naveah downstairs to get her something to eat before starting breakfast. Now that she is 6 months old I can start introducing her to new foods slowly. For breakfast today I decided to puree together some baby cereal, milk, and bananas. I decided to do it one morning and she loved it, so it's what I've been doing for the past couple of days. After making sure she was well-fed, I turned on some cartoons and placed her in her playpen while I got to cooking.

I decided to make everyone's favorites which are pancakes, homefries, bacon, eggs, and sausage. It took about an hour and a half to cook everything and luckily the boys are still sleeping. I cleaned up, set the table, and placed the food in the oven to keep it warm until everyone was ready. It was now time to go wake up my boys. Walking into Ezekiel's room he looked so peaceful sleeping and as much as I didn't wanna wake him up, I had to so that he could eat.

"Ezekiel...Zeke...Zeke"

"Mhmmm"

"Wake up baby"
