~Jazmyne's P.O.V~
Ezrah grabbed Zek while I got Naveah. When We got to the top of the stairs and walked down the hall a little bit, I noticed that the kid's bedroom door was a little different because they each had their own name on their bedroom door.
I was about to turn around and ask him if this was the surprise, but it's like he read my mind and as I was about to turn he said no that's not it.
He took my hand and we walked to Naveah's room first and when he opened it.....
*Present Time*
When Ezrah finally opened the door I was shocked and speechless
When Ezrah finally opened the door I was shocked and speechless. Naveah's room was all painted and decorated with everything that we bought for her put in place and it looks amazing.
"Oh my god babe this is beautiful, when did you.."
"Before you say anything I have one more surprise. Put Naveah down in her new crib and come with me"
After I put Veah down we went next door to Zeke's room and when he opened the door all I could do was cry. The room looked amazing and I know when Zeke saw it he would love it
"Oh my god babe this is beautiful. Thank you so much, you don't know how much this means to me...to us. You didn't have to do all of this"
"Of course I did. You and our kids deserve nothing but the best and I'm going to make sure that you guys get that and nothing less"
~Ezrah's P.O.V~
By now tears were running down her face and although they were tears of joy, I can tell that there was some pain hidden behind that joy
"Hey hey why all the tears?"
"It's nothing, I'm just really happy"
"It's more than that, let me get Zek into bed and I'll meet you in the room"
"Ok"
After I tucked Zek into bed, I made sure that the baby monitor was up and running in Naveah's room before I went to our bedroom. As I was walking in, I noticed that Jazmyne was just sitting on the bed staring off into space. I sat on the bed and she didn't even notice till I reached over and rubbed her thigh.
"Oh hey"
"Hey, what's going on?"
"Umm its nothing"
"Nah it's something...come here"
I repositioned us so that I was sitting up against the headboard and she was in my lap. I cradled her like a little baby cause I know she likes that and started rubbing her thigh to calm her down
"If you don't wanna talk about it, its fine, I'm not gonna force you ok. We can just sit here for the rest of the day if that's what you want"
She didn't respond, all she did was stare into space
Rather than sitting in silence, I decided to turn on the TV. I started flipping the channels trying to find something good to watch and when I couldn't find anything, I settled for Law and Order: SVU which I know Jazmyne loves
After two episodes played I was getting a little tired and started dosing off till I heard her voice
"This all just seems to good to be true"
"Why do you mean"
"This, my life, us...everything just seems too perfect and as soon as I accept it and get comfortable, it's all gonna disappear and I'm gonna be back where I started"
"Hey, look at me. I am in love with you ok,you and the kids are m world now and if god forbid anything were to happen I'm not letting you go without a fight ok...you're going to be ok... we're going to be ok and I'm going to make sure of it ok"
"Okay"
"Promise me something?"
"What is it?"
"Promise me that you won't let negative thoughts prevent you from enjoying life to its fullest
Promise me that you will let me take care of you and the kids
And lastly, promise me that you will let me treat you like the queen you are, giving you all that you deserve and more"
She started to get emotional and after every statement I made a year fell. I slowly wiped away her tears with my thumb and gave her a kiss
"I promise"
"Thank you, I'm in love with you Jazmyne Smith"
Taking notice to how I said my last name instead of her she started laughing
"I'm in love with you too Ezrah Smith and I'm sorry about shutting down earlier"
"No need to apologize, just know that I got you no matter what and that's never going to change"
She stared in my eyes for a while before speaking again
"How did I get so lucky"
"Nah I'm the one who got lucky. I have the perfect kids and the perfect wife"
"You've been using that word alot while my finger is ringless"
"Listen we talked about this, you mine forever and ever"
We started getting comfortable to watch TV and just like that Naveah woke up
