Do you remember spinning around on the fort?
It was all slick with water like an old seaport.
We crazily splashed around in the heavy rain.
I seemed to have momentarily lost my brain.
My mother wasn't too happy about the whole scene.
She rushed all of us inside to get squeaky clean.
As children, it was a fun way to waste our time.
As an adult, I'm writing about it in rhyme.
