As a child, I was never the first to answer the phone.

Working in a call center was like the twilight zone.

I'd hurry into conversations with subjects unknown.

Extravagant discussions resulted in my mind blown.

Now I'm ready to touch down with my pen.

Perhaps it's time to purchase a paper bin.

Each day I keep track and count works by ten.

I want that to multiple time and again.

---

For once I'd like to be the person taking off in a sprint.

I want to write novels worthy of poems for print.

At the moment, I've yet to make anywhere near a dint.

Perhaps a day will come when my writing leaves an imprint.
