Darkness had not bothered me in the years before.
But malice rushed by from behind a cabin door.
The shock made me drop my darn flashlight on the floor.
When I picked up the small device, it worked no more.
Days had passed without a single ray of sunlight.
I found myself oh so lost in an endless night.
I ran outdoors for help, but met with a horrible fright—
Some weathering winds gave me frostbite.
Running inside, I threw on my heaviest jacket.
My clumsy search made quite a racket.
Sunlight was gone, but I had a heating packet.
If cold malice comes, heat will counter attack it
